i have made 3-4 discussions the other day and only 2 discussions have produced many responses. i now wonder what makes a discussion worth an attention. as for me, i respond to discussions of my interest and where i can give an honest opinion. sometimes also, i choose those with less response. i am starting a discussion of my interest too and sometimes when i want to seek advice or opinion to arrive to a better idea.
how about you? how do you choose the discussion you respond to?

Topics like this will get many responses. The discussion topic must be easy and which is known to many members. I respond wherever I feel I can contribute more.

hi ravi I also respond if I can be of help or suggest those who can be of help , as it depends on the topic. It cannot be about
cricket or soccer or football as I am not knowledgeable in those sports at all.The discussion mus be well enough written so that I have an idea of the problem.I came on one that had the key words in some foreign language and had to ask the poster to translate those into English for me so I could write an intelligent answer to it.

True we cannot respond in respect of discussions wherein we cannot understand the content. By posting our response we are enriching a discussion to whatever extent it may be.

First, I'll check the today's top 10 discussions. Secondly, I'll check the discussions of my interests and I'd respond to the discussions that I have an opinion of. However, when i start my own discussion, i'd not think of what opinions people may post or the outcome of their opinions.

I seldom starts a discussion but if I have one in mind it is usually under my preferred topic of interests. I looked for topics initiated by my friends first and if I have nothing or any ideas that I could share than I'll look on other discussions in which I can relate with, especially in my line f interest.

How do i choose the discussions that i respond to? Well, i do not respond to discussions if i do not have any knowledge on it even though they are on the list of my interest. Most of the time, i am responding discussions with the topic mylot, earning money, and computer. :)

shylade that would be different for each of us as our interestws veryh but I like discussions that strike a common chord about something I can add my two cent too or e ven help someway.I have
a lot of different interests but again it depends on how well the discussion is written .I will not respond to those wanting a yes or no answer at all as they will eventually be deleted.I try to make mine about some problem I have that is common to many many people as I always get responses to those. And those are generally the same ones I will respond to.Something that is common to all of us and that I inow how to solve iut then I will respond.

Whenever I found discussions of my interest, I will participate and share my views. Furthermore, when someone asks ideas and help which I think I have a little knowledge I wil share mine.

For me a discussion gets interesting when the discussion starter is active in there own topic
they comment we comment and this way we share lot of info with each other
so whenever a discussion starters like to further the topic i am always interest in it

Basically, it depends on the person viewing your discussion. Here in mylot, we spot discussion that we hope will also be something we could relate to others - either others have similar experience or background or it simply piques their interest. If people are interested, most likely they will respond, it's the same in any setting.
There's no really a specific answer to your question since many of us here come form different backgrounds and have different experiences and interest. In posting and responding to discussion, we hope that we communicate effectively our ideas in our messages. It kinda form a solidarity that we cannot explain.suffice to say that we know each otehr whether we disagree or agree with the idea or message.

ya discussion is well lit up if you get the right response well related to that topic if someone gives a healthy response and then it will definitely offer a nice oppurtunity to the others to give their own honest opinions....
so stop worrying about seeking attention just start it it will give you nice responses if it is worth it... hope u get my point friend...
