I haven't eaten avocado before but this is an interesting fruit in my opinion and I like to try since it tastes like the butter. And it seems you can use it for cooking, too. However, I hardly see this fruit here. If I ever see it in the supermarket, it is so expensive and I don't think it is worthy to buy a fruit with such a high price.

For some reason I've always been fascninated by the kumkwat. I don't know why, I think every time I hear a funny food name I think kumkwat. I don't even know what they taste like or if they are any good but they have always interested me.

It is an import from the Americas, so it is expensive. Do you have any Mexican restaurants? If so, go and order guacamole, it is a dip made of Avocado, onion, and tomato.

How I love to eat avocado even my daughters too I put some milk and sugar and mix with them put in the fridge it's like ice cream.
I saw this fruit long time ago when someone invited me to dine with her at the Japanese restaurant I don't have the chance to eat because I'm shy to tell it to my friend to have a taste of that. It's yellow and big looks like a tomato. I don't know the real name of it.

Yes, now that you mention it, the "star fruit" that I have seen in stores. I probably never tried it because I don't know how to pick a good one or how to eat it. (Looking at it, it looks like it is a fruit you can wash and slice, but I am not sure) Of course as a big fruit lover, I am sure there are other fruits from around the world I never heard of, but would love to try.

So, can you explain to me how to pick the best fruit, as in color and texture? also, do you peel this fruit and eat the inside? Sorry, but like I said, I never tried it before, so I don't know anything about picking it out or preparing it..

I never thought of the avocado as a fruit and always eat it as a vegetable. Interesting that is in the berry family. I would like to try a star fruit. We don't see them here but rarely. I have never had one. I hope to go some where that has them at some point.

There are fruits that i have not eaten yet, like passion fruit, kiwi and more...they look delectable but then again there is the fear that i might not like the taste. But if you will give me, then i will still try it
I love AVOCADOS! one of my favorite fruits in the world... i have seen on tv that they use it for Guacamole.. but here in the philippines we usually use it for dessert, i turn it into shake - avocado plus milk and a bit of sugar and ice yumm!! or sometimes i eat it as it is..i slice it up, put milk on top with a bit of sugar and it tastes delicious and i don't think it tastes like butter, it has its own flavor...
now you mentioned it, i am craving for it

Honestly speaking. i will not try a fruit which i haven't eaten before. I am a cautious person, i am afraid if i try a fruit which is harmful, i will be poisoned. And i think we should be cautious in any case,as there are many things which are beautiful in look butvery harmful in fact.

I don't seem to be a weirdo,do i? Then i would tell you maybe, yes i wanted badly to eat this grapes but i never had eaten that throughtout my lifetime-maybe atleast since the day i've known about world and myself-6 years?
Grapes are sour and tasty right?Yes, my mom used to tell me-even my sister used to and even now she's doing that-that's another case. She would show me,tell that i'm the unluckiest person-who has not even tasted this sour-but nice fruit called THE GRAPES
You might ask why have not you tasted that ever?
It's not costly nor it's soo hard found in the market-yet the problem lies in me.I have this wheeze problem and some more as well.(who would want to tell these in myLot?)Well, for these health disorders,i am not ever supposed to eat the sour fruit-the grapes..That's what atleast the doctor says.
Even when people who thought weirdo of me when they started reading this answer might have understood now,the why-i-coul-not-eat's story
Well incase these problems get over me soon, then i could have the opportunity of tasting the fruit that i so badly wanted to taste-and tell them all who bullied and rasped at me-
I am after all eating these grapes!
So that's the story! And indeed this is a big story right? For the small answer that all would give :(

Oh i didn't know..But i like this "sour" taste ever since my childhood because i've always been banned out of it..
And the grape flavor snacks-would they be of the same taste too?Maybe perhaps,i should avoid it then.Nothing of that type-said the doctors.I don't eat those Oranges as well and that lemon stands there in my list too!Never wanted to eat those badly..

Yeah, there is one fruit that I want to eat. It's strawberry. I haven't eaten strawberry yet, and it's not available here. I'm from the Philippines and I think it's only available in Baguio. And I've never been to Baguio yet.

There are a lot of fruits here youless but mostly tropical fruits and strawberries needs cold climate so we rarely have it here, even i am not used to it but have eaten it.
As my sis above mentioned, it is grown in Baguio only as it is a bit cold there, so only there strawberries are grown. It gets too hot here in our area.. so only tropical fruits are grown like mangoes, bananas, coconuts, lanzones etc.. even apples and oranges are imported

Avocado is delicious; I used to enjoy it sliced in half, and smothered in vinaigrette sauce, although I always used to hate them if they were bruised. That always used to put them off like no one's business for me. In a local supermarket, I used to buy avocado and brie sandwiches; and they were real tasty; although expensive. I have to confess I always thought avodado was a vegetable, rather than a fruit. As for a fruit I'd like to eat, well...not so much eat, but I'd like to drink coconut milk some day because I've heard it's wonderful for you; and it sounds like it'd be fabulous.

I agree with you that the avocado is expensive in the stores, even though we live on the edge of the area w here they are grown. I believe that they are an acquired taste, though. I've learned to like them very much , in spite of the price.

I want to try strawberries. I think it is very common in western countries such as UK, USA, Canada,Australia etc. In the past, it was apple that was on my list. But this was overtaken due to the fact that apples where brought from South Africa to Nigeria where I stay. We now have access to apple which is a little expensive compared to other local fruits.

After reading the various ideas
of friends, that's interesting. I just gave the info about the
avocado;
- first, it's different with the butter, almost likely, but it can't melt when you cook it.
- second, durian is a fruit that is very different with avocado. Why did you give that tag?lol...
I live in Indonesia, here, the price of avocados can be said to be cheap. As I recall about $2 per kg (in 2010). I often eat it. Usually I (and most of those
people) ate it in a way in the
juice, cut the avocado with a
spoon, plus a little sugar or sweet milk. It
would be too greasy, but more delicious. For year ago I used to make it as a face mask.
And most importantly, in here, are many and far cheaper than in your country. Would you like if I shipping it to you? But certainly more expensive its shipping than the fruit, lol.. I hope you should save your money to buy this fruit immedietly. I love avocado.

I checked your location, and I suppose there aren't that many avocados from where you are right now. It's abundant here in my Location. If you ever do decide to try it, try it with milk, sugar and lots of ice. It's awesome. You can make an avocado smoothie, or You could also put that in a sushi dish. Try it. =)
