I had heard rumors of this during the woman's NCAA tourament. The rumor was true! Pat Summit is handing over the reins to long time assitent Holly Warlick! After 38 seasons, winning 6 or 8 NCAA championships, building the top women's college program in the country and coming the winnest college basketball coach ever! She will be missed but she is not going far! She was diagnosed with early dementia/alzheimers last August. She will continue to be the Lady Vols coach emieritus and with the Pat Summit Foundation work on alzheimers awareness and the like! I cried when I heard the news! She is an inspiration to alot of people! Love you Pat!

She is a great lady and an excellent coach. We won't see another like her. It is the end of an era.

What you said is so true! There will be no one like her in college basketball again! She made women's basketball what it is today! Pat Summit will be greatly missed!
