with so much mp3 available online, you still have the time to listen to the radio?
We are getting sleepy here in the office so my office mate switched the radio on and we are now listening to the radio, its been a long time as i listened to the radio as i rely on my mp3 where my favorite songs are easily available..
but radios are still in handy in times where there are tragedies or important news that we need to listen to

Hi Jazel, nowadays i seldom listen to radio at home. In fact, when i haven't got my computer, radio was my favorite and i listen to it daily. Nowadays, my radio is taking a long holiday and only in service whenever i miss the news on television and wanted to listen it through radio. Most of the time, i only listen to radio whenever i am traveling in my car. Because at home, i always listened to music from my computer. I can listen to my favorite music repeated through my computer without fail. I think i am hooked to my computer a lot.

yes with the onset of computers, like you i rarely use the radio for music as i could download all music i like in the computer but then again, radios are still useless in times of events and the likes..

I listen to the radio almost every day when I exercise! It seems to make it easier and before you know it, it's over. I like the radio more than just music because sometimes that is the only way I know what is going on in the world. Plus the station that I listen to has a morning program that is usually funny.

another good thing about the radio, you hear songs you have not heard yet..
djs are also funny sometimes, some are nonchalant, some are annoying, while some are entertaining

Now a days we have ipods, ipads, cellphones, pcs and a big bunch of other stuff tat it's no longer necessary to think about listening to the radio! It's contents are mostly boring in an age in which you are completely free to chose what you actually want to listen to.

well sometimes it gets boring especially if the disk jockey who is on air gets boring but then again they are still necessary as they announce news...

The radio might be becoming a thing of the past, as technology seems to be taking over! I have to admit though, that at least my husband still likes listening to it, not only for music programs, but also for news, especially last minute ones.

Hi Jazel,
Yes, I do still listen to radio. I listen to it in my car and that is how I hear new music quite often. I only have radio and tape player in my car and no tapes so I do listen to the radio quite often. At home, I usually have Pandora playing on my computer for music. Still, sometimes I do put on the radio at home also. And like you said, the radio is good for the news etc. The thing is, I never think to keep batteries on hand in case of a power loss. I know they tell us to but it's one of those things I just don't think about.

It seems the only time I listen to the radio is in the car! I still have my preset stations, but honestly I don't like everything I hear so I am constantly switching the stations. Half the time it seems like it's all commercials too. I am always driving my kids here or there, among doing the errands, but I don't have very far to go - so it's not like I have a chance to listen to a bunch of music - let alone one whole song!! Heck, I don't even have a CD player in my car - that's how old my car is . . . and the cassette player is busted (no need to fix THAT) . . . so radio is the only way to go!!!

I still in love with my radio station , while other people seems to listen the radio when they are in car im the opposite if I drive with my brother he wont let anyone to play the radio or listening music, he wants a complete silent in the car but if we drive without him we can play the radio...anyway that is not what I want to talk about hehehe. Back to topic about radio, I like listening to radio because there is a channel which playing oldies songs, alternative songs, slow rocks, the kind of my favorite songs (Im not that old but my dad is my greatest influence in listening music, so I prefer oldies song than my generation songs), I have ipod but I only listen to it when Im mobile. I like listening radio because I dont have to think what to play next, like or dislike I must listen to the song until it ended and I dont feel like to switch on to other radio station.

No, I no longer listen to the radio mostly because they play the same songs over and over. It's always the same bands and singers, too - hardly anyone unknown or different....

Definitely..it is hard to resist the temptation of listening to the radio in the early morning hours. It instills in you the memories of foregone years when radio was the only broadcast media to cater to the interests of ardent commuters across the world.
