i often get my ears hot, people say its because someone is missing you or talking about you, bad talking. ear is sensitive, what do you think of this

Here in the USA we say "my ears are burning" and I think that it is because someone is talking about us. Though our nose also itches and that is to say that people are thinking or talking about us as well. Often my nose will itch and I say "I wish whoever was thinking about me would stop".
