Away 1-0 loss to Chelsea after Barcelona's prospects of some good,at least from the date.Historical data show that Barcelona in Champions League semi-final stage six times lost in the first round of the game, five of which did not ultimately qualify.Barcelona this is really dangerous!

It is the result of the season for Chelsea. Beating the best team in the world is not like losing to WBA - it is something you have to work really hard for - you have to stop Messi. It was easier just to let Gareth McAuley score. That is the Di Matteo impact and he is going to make history with Chelsea.
Historical data is just a record of what have happened. The record of losing the first leg and still qualifying in the second leg stands at 1-5. Barcelona only did it once. Would this time be the second? Although trailing 0-1 in aggregate, Barcelona is still the favorite to win the return leg in Camp Nou to qualify for the final. It takes a brave man(more likely a crazy man)to bet against Barcelona at their home ground.
But I do hope Chelsea could qualify.

Also, I think amongst most sides, Chelsea probably has the best record over Barcelona in the recent times. I think it was a big win for Chelsea and more importantly they kept a clean sheet. But I still feel that at Nou Camp, Barcelona would probably lay siege of the Chelsea goal. What is interesting is that we need to see what toll the El-Classico has on Barcelona as that is also a do or die match for Barcelona.
Cheers!

No one expected Chelsea to pull off this result. Despite its dominance over the possession and goal attempts, if they don't score, they won't win. Chelsea will now go to Nou Camp and "park their bus" in front of the goal mouth. Unless Barcelona put on their scoring boots, another upset is on the card.

Chelsea will fall apart in the second leg! Chelsea hacve not been the most consistant team this year, currently 6th in the EPL. Drogba is getting on a bit and if barca get a goal in the second leg making it 1-1 and Drogba tires I cant see Barcelona having many sleepless nights over Torres! I predict 3-0 to Barcelona in the second leg.

I think the game was wonderful to watch. Chelsea and Barcelona made a very exiting semi-final of the Champions' League yesterday. Of course the bout teams deserved to win and as it was expected, Barcelona had way more chances than Chelsea and I don't find anything wrong about that. I think that the mistake of Barcelona is that they played too cautious. They could make a 4 or 5 shots from long range (and by long range, I mean 1 or 2 meters from the arc of the penalty area), but they didn't make the shots. They were too careful and they made a shot only if they are one on one with Peter Chech. For a team like Barcelona, who's players had all the skills. accuracy and power of the long range shots, the chances that that was open at Chelsea's goal was wasted. We all saw the incredibly orderly of Chelsea's defense. They know that Barcelona are the dangerous club of the world at the moment, and they didn't take a lot of chances. They played only in counter-attacking and that brings them the great goal of Didier Drogba at the 46 minute. This counter-attack was like in book. It all started from Frank Lampard, who give the ball to Ramires with a fabulous lob pass and Ramires, with a great assistance to Drogba complete the attack, by a goal from the unmistakable from this situations - Didier Drogba. Roberto Di Matteo created a brand new look at Chelsea. He made the impossible with this club leading them to this large win against Barcelona and he and his boys deserve a big applause for what they did. Peter Cech was probably the man of the match, with his phenomenal saves. He can't not admitting that Chelsea had a little bit of luck this night, because of the two shots from Barcelona who hit the post of Cech, but the important is that they get the win. The second leg at Camp Nou stadium is gonna be even more difficult for Chelsea, and we can't not say that for Barcelona isn't gonna be as difficult as for Chelsea, but I think that Chelsea did what they had to do and what they go out at the stadium for and they should be proud of this win, because it won't be forgotten any soon. I wish Chelsea good luck at the second leg and I hope they made the impossible and eliminate the biggest titan of football for those last years - Barcelona. Wish you all the best !
