I; myself personally is a High School Graduate. And of course it's not going to be easy in life out there. From saleslady in a cheap Chinese stall to a customer sales rep; I did endure a lot of unusual work for high school graduates out there (aside from the usual garden works and household chores which your mom and dad are obligated to give you allowances)
I started as a masseur with my aunt and eventually grow into a home service business in the neighborhood. I usualy charged at least Php50 (S1) for hand and leg massage while whole body is Php100 ($2). in one session it tooked me 30 minutes and stuff; depending on the customer needs. Along with that I did some full-time jobs as a store helper at Divisoria with a Chinese employer at Php100-150 a day ($2-3 average per day) and it's pretty much lower that the usual wages in the US. Oh well; what you can do so far is to get multiple jobs which gives you light chores to other people. If you're illustrative enough; then use mylot and earn ^_^-)
Let me know what jobs did you take after graduating high school

I've had a lot of tough luck finding a job after high school. It has been hard, with the economy tanked and all. I've worked a lot of odd jobs and a couple of day jobs. It's tough out there. I was a fast food cook and a delivery driver. Those jobs might be ok for a day job, but it would be nice to have a career. Though I'm sure there will be many more jobs to come, hopefully.

Good thing there's this wonderful program called INTERNET. Try to check for more aside from the local jobs in your area. Sometimes; I prefer working around the neighborhood before hitting the road further. That's what happened to me until I get isolated here away from my family **jokes!
Happy chatting with us here in mylot and do PM us if you need anything!

Right, I do use the internet to find local jobs and other jobs that may suit me. However, a lot of the time, it still brings no luck. Although the internet also helped as you can find ways to make some small change off the internet.

Wow. I admire you resy. You know already how to think and be responsible. Getting a job is such a big responsibility. It's good to find money that will add to your allowance. At least you are getting money for those additional expenses in school and etc.
After highschool, I started taking tutoring jobs. This job was fit for me because there was only one subject I was good at in school, math. I tutor students of different age in subjects like math, geometry, algebra and other arithmetic subjects. Thank God! It helped me gain money and suffice my expenses at home and at school. Then I stopped at my last year in college because I had to concentrate on my studies. I regretted and I should have continued because I was making a fortune. The demand for math tutors is high because a lot of students have difficulty understanding math.

Whoah... You should take advantage of those demands. For me; (also not being blessed with mathematical sights and brains on it) it is really a huge advantage for you and make money on it. I did tutoring but it's only for shorter terms like English and History subjects for $2 for 3 hours. And that's going to be for my cousin; which was my other aunt is paying me for rendering the tutoring service.

Yeah. Thank you Lord for that job. My rate was $2 per hour. hehehehe
I wished I will also continue this as my part time job. But my dayjob demands a lot of time. Too bad.

What I can suggest for you my friend is proper delegation. I may have the worst schedule ever (5:AM to 2:00 PM MLA) and I'm keeping an organizer on hand. Some friends called my planner as the Bible but I don't mind if it is bulky besides it is stylish and came from Starbucks.
Hahahah... no the point here is; manage your sched accordingly. How demandful it could be with my job in a call center and needs to extend times but at the very least; knowing what to do next is better than being caught up not knowing what to do at all.
For instance; you can contact some of the relatives that you know that they're available in this kind of schedule. Then, assign them to have a session with you in this kind of schedule that you're giving. If they declines; it's ok. The magic of it is you handle your own sched and they're the ones who needs to adjust since they're the one who needs your service. Then set a time everyday thay you will accept clients who will be tutored under you.
Don't be afraid of adjustments. It's normal. As soon as your clients are coming in; the rest is up to you. Then you'll keep the tutoring service while working on a dayshift demands.

Exactly. Which I did without finishing college. Here in where I'm at it just needs training from the government and everything is being provided here at ease. In the end I didn't mean to worry about attaining college because I have a permanent job for four (4) years while enjoying freelance jobs and mylotting with you guys!

Well, I'm in university right now but I am working part-time as a waitress in a Japanese/Korean restaurant. Asides from that, I recently joined a MLM company called Global Wealth Trade to sell their jewellery. It's not an easy job because it's similar to starting your own business but I'm determined to make it work so it'll be my summer project for this summer! I'm also looking for work right now, either a sales representative somewhere or maybe a receptionist.

Multi-Level Marketing (MLM) isn't bad afterall. I know some friends earning a lot also in doing this kind of business. Would you believe that some millionaires right now are college drop-outs or not being able to finish high school at all? One good example here in where I'm at is Lucio Tan ^_^-)
If you know how to trade properly; then MLM will works for you. That's one heck of a work (or business) which doesn't requires too much education. And what's the best part is: even that you've just graduated high school; it's fun and easier withour physical work. You just need to practive what we called "delegation".
