You Been Towed

I had to visit my aunt in the hospital yesterday, she's wasn't doing so well days ago. If it was her time, I wanted the chance to say good-bye. The boyfriend accompanied me, which was nice. I don't like hospitals, and this one was in the New York City. We drove to Jersey to take the Path train into Manhattan. We take my car to do so, he shows me his old neighborhood. We laugh, talk, you know enjoy each othe company. So when we finally arrive in Jersey, he says we can park my car in this strip mall all day but when we get back, my car is gone.
My car is gone, I think some one stole me car. Boyfriend flags down a cop who tell us, there is a 3 hour parking limit and my car was towed. I'm super pissed off, I listen to the boyfriend when all I had to do was read a sign or two. It took us hours to get the money up for the tow, at the end of the night we had my car back and a $212.00 IOU maked out to his aunt. It was the trip from hell but my aunt is way better since my trip. Moral of this story ladies, don't trust what your man tells you without some facts.

Always read the signs, especially since they have probably changed from the last time your boyfriend was in that neighborhood. Chances are, other people figured out the mall trick as well, and the city found this to be a good way to pull in some extra money by towing those people away. Hospital parking lots, at least all of them in my area, are pretty much 24/7. You would have been better off parking at the hospital friend.

Hi Reward;
Nah, the hospital was in the city, parking out there? 20 for an hour easy. The ironic part that I didn't mention is on the walk back to my car, I noticed a sign for all day parking for 5 bucks. Thats when I knew my night was going straight to hell.

That is too bad, must be different on that side of the USA. I guess lesson learned though, and cheaply at that...we have a min. tow fine of $500 in CA.
