Hello; fellow mylotters!
Just a quick question about building your dream house. I mean all of us wants to own one. And as upon dreaming about it; what I've learn before is you need to be specific on it.
One factor which is also important is the house appearance. It is also based on the colors that you're about to use. If there is a great choice of hues to be used then for this one; it's going to be nice in the outside and gives the impression that it is also nice in the inside. (wow..great delayed tacttics though even if the house's internal areas are not done yet though)
I'm preferring blue or yellow green. How about yours? Tell me what's on your mind and let me kow your reason about chosing this colors for this house.

I picture what you're visualizing. it's like earth and sea colors combined. such a naturalistic color. Then you'll like putting some trees beside the house or a small graden beside. Another touch of green but not that much will do =D

Moring Resy;
I love colors that encourage a mood, warm colors create an atmoshpere in and outside. I rely on color to enjoy curtain holidays: Christmas is full of green, Easter has to consist of baby pinks and blues, 4th of July seems to be a purple holiday for me. It's amazing how we rely on what we see to determine a mood.

I just prefer a very simple color, a cream white. I want my house to look really clean so I want the exterior and the interior walls to be just cream white. Then the roof can be either brown or red. Inside the house, the furnitures should be in neutral tones, or in earth tones. I will hire an interior designer so it can look very simple but elegant at the same time. In my room, I want the walls to be either pink or black. I still haven't decided that though.

I love also browns but most from wood and ground.
For once I remebered decorating it with lues and browns for a bachelor. And for this; I'm thinking of working with browns and pinks.

For the country I live is very small, therefore the land is very expensive. I cannot afford a house, instead I buy an apartment. So the exterior colour was designed by the property developer. If I was offered to pick the colour, I would choose creamy yellow colour. Because it can make the whole building look bright and elegant, which will be easy to match other buildings as well. This colour is also suitable for the interior of the house. It will the small rooms look bigger and spacious.

You are correct on that part. Light colors makes rooms and spaces appear bigger. Now I am wondering what light colors should I choose for my dream house!
What I just hate about bright colors for painting a wall is it makes buildings look dirty eventually for years.

pink for bedroom. light blue outside, yellow green for dining room. white in sitting room. and there should be some flowers or leaves on the wall.

Judging by your pseudonym; "Peony" refers to pink. Hahaha..nice one for a bedroom!
Of course for a girl's bedroom; Hint of lavander is also nice. And you can try combining blacks or browns with your white also for your reception. White is easier to mixed up or partnered with any other colors in the color wheel.

I think I'd choose a solid neutral color. Something like pale pink or peach and a brown. I think they'd go good together. Neutral colors are soothing to my eyes.

Pink an brown is also nice. It gives us the "old world" looked. Very nice and it gives us that "Shabby chic" approach in the house ^_^-)

That would definitely be neutral colors. I'd love to have a house with these colors since it makes the area and the home look more stylish, warm and welcoming. To me, a home with a neutral color scheme and a neutral look is a much more comfortable place to stay. You can pick ideas from Better Homes and Gardens, there are a wide array of choices you can see there. I myself am an avid reader of that mag as well as other home design magazines. Well, I hope this one helps. ;)

I always interest a house with grey-white painted combination in the outside and can be cream in the inside. I always look home with grey painted as luxurious home, simple but glamourous and awesome. for now my house is still using old color. but yes, sooner I will change the colour in the grey

I like green or blue. Green because to give it a scenic appearance, like trees and plants. hehehe.
I like blue because it's my favorite color.

If i will to choose colors for my soon to be house, i would like to color it white with lines/outines of darkblue and gray on its corners. Definitely i would like to have it a bit simplier but modernize type of house. Not those with sculptures and other elegant designs.

I like bright color, if I have chance to build my own house I will paint it between white or pale colour. i will paint the out walls of the house one level darker than the colour in the house.

Outside: something "boring" like cream. When I was younger, I loved houses with bright exteriors and colors, now I find them disturbing for my eye.
Inside: now my fave color combination is sour cherry red (so like a more blue.based version of maroon), faint aqua blue and cream :).

I hate shocking colors. It may looks fun for others but for me it's like all of your neighbors and pesserby are looking your house like the center of attraction among the houses in the avenue or street. I find it also disturbing; peculiar and eerie... hahaha... I agree with you that too much shocking colors gives you such eye sore

Soon I want to have my own hard-earned house. I prefer to have it painted with a cool pallet of light and pastel colors like lime green, light yellow and light orange; for me these colors will make me feel refreshed and happy. But I'm also thinking it would be nice and sophisticated to look at if its colored with shades of brown and beige to pair the steel staircase.
