Hello Lotters,
It definitely doesn't matter what kind of television that your using. but i believe the flat screen is the most popular now, though we bought a flat screen TV, it's just a flat screen with the big BACK.
I was trying to watch it all on the computer on all movies, but there are shows and even news that is still something to watch for on television.
Before, I was more on movies, news and more bad news, the one news i wish to avoid is the china Philippine problem bcause of some island believe china owns it. so sad that something that i avoid watching on television.
how ever, despite of that, i got a new hobby on liking and watching singing contest like the American idol and the funny show WIPE OUT
but even though it's not as fun as it used to. television is worth the watch, u?

I myself, is not fond of the local stuff they show on television, it gets boring seeing the same actresses again and again.
We do not have flat screen either, we have the same as you do - flat screen with a big back hahahah I also avoid watching too much news, i only read as they get stressful, they usually show the usual crime news which sucks too.
When i watch television, i would often watch CSI, The Voice, AI ( but rethinking this one now as Colton is out ) and yes we do WIPE OUT to but i like the US version but they are showing the Canada version which isn't funny..the hosts are not even funny. I like Jill.

Hello Jazel_juan, Same actresses, same kind of drama like themes, if there's new it's probably just an imitation coming from a foreign show or movies. the latest news were far more stressing. I don't have that much interest in Crime investigation movie but in some recent days i was able to watch NCSI. but am glad i still have TV though, hahaha

HI, I'm a soap addict I think all homebody mom is addicted to soap. Here in my town we have only one cable company and it is too much expensive, not like in the big city they are many companies and they have competence. I can't afford to have a cable I can have only anthena, so only 2 channels are clear and able to view I don't have a choice either but to watch them both channels. But way back when I'm still on the big city I'm hooked watching HBO we always have time in a movie marathon with my kids.

Hello Lynboobsy, well, what is there to watch if there's no cable? I agree that Soap Opera's are the ones that are being aired to expose their talents and gets to have ratings on the show. but i try to avoid them because there's no originality but i have watch sci-fi shows in GMA from the Encantadia, or Captain barbell. but other than that is stop. have a nice day.

I think so television is worth watching to. I used to listen and watch news on TV. I find relief and feel happy everytime I saw at Eat Bulaga the All for Juan and Juan for all segment where the needy find answers to their problems. Same with those who won at Manny Many prizes...At the same time I'm being relieved with my boredom and being entertained with the songs and dances at the TV programs. So far for me television is woth watching for.

Yes, it still worth to watch. Besides the news I watch some of the dramas as well. Since the internet quota (data volume) which I have subscribe will not going to satisfied me to watch drama online so I still need the tv but just for some soap drama at night. If I am able to watch all them on internet it will be better...(^^)

Hello CTHanum, I don't watch dramas anymore, the dramas in the past were so unique to me that i kept watching every single episode. the drama's that i see in the television lately are nothing more than just a way to expose their talents and let them see act and how they look but not much originality as it used to be. have a nice day/.

The dramas I watch usually from the other countries. I don't watch local dramas as they keep telling the same story, scenes and also about the same actor and actress. By watching the other countries' soap dramas apart the different concept and storyline at least I could learn their language and culture..(^^)

Hi, Letran, I don't find much time to watch TV - I have to work a lot in order to survive and pay the cable TV . I'm not a good example because I work in a television, I make TV news so I watch mainly news.
But I think that my daughter's attitude can show the trends today. Years ago, when she was a kid without computer, she begged me to get a cable TV. Since she had a computer and Internet, she has forgotten about the television.

Hello Fannitia, Well, I remember envying some of my mom's friends for watching cable and having foreign channels. luckily, when 1998 came, cable subscription was available. what kind of work you do in television, there's actually a lot of channels in teh cable. and then, internet came along and tv wasn't always something to look forward to, unless it's a live news or show. have a nice day/.

Yes. Television is worth watching. There are actually shows that is copyright protected that it cannot be streamed online for free. So that is why with the Internet, still, we can't deny that television is still worth watching for.

Hello Aabuda, i don't know why there shows that are copyright but i guess to prevent from being aired in youtube or any other channel. i like stream online videos live so that i don't have to watch it on the television which increases the cost of electricity here and there. have a nice day.

Hello laken02, I have watch some funny sitcoms before and it was really entertaining, right now things are depressing for me so i would go watch funny shows which are great. maybe i should remain and keep on watching funny shows like that in the sitcoms. i rarely watch criminal investigation series, but it was fine at least. have a nice day.

dear LK,
Our flat screen is just a display (hahahha)
Kids are not fond watching local shows, so, we only use our TV sets mainly for watching movies (dvd's)
I also watch AI- The Voice (singing contest)
Jerry Springer, Steve Wilkos, Maury -these reality shows I came to know our local shows imitate (lols) I think they call it "face to face" :p

Hello Jaiho-sis, oh really? hahaha it's still one cool flat screen though as i have seen it.I haven't watch steven wilkos in a while, is that show still alive? steve was really cool because he knows how to deal with big bad guys on the show. though some people think he's way off but i believe he can be entertaining at least. have a nice day.

Personally, I prefer shows on the internet. I can watch whatever I want and I can watch it again and again and again. I have not been fond of watching television ever since we got cable because I really hate the quality of programme sin out local channels. If I have no computer or cable, I rather read. The stories on the TV sometimes are so boring, so rehearsed and you just want to shake the characters or hae a talk with their creators. Perhaps it worked for the Masa, but it is really not my taste.
However, I do pick up some things to discuss in television. I also avoid teh local channels for news because sometimes the issues they raise are so exaggerated that you would think that it is already a drama. Also, there is a certain broadcaster that I do not want to hear the news from.
TV has a long way to go. It could use some serious improvement and I hope that happens soon.

Hello jeanne, I have been watching in the internet too regarding these shows but most of them are later news and not updated ones. i agree that television has a long way to go, they even created a flat screen tv that can also be use as a computer monitor, that's what kept seing on my research in the net. have a nice day.
