Well,Thank GOD, I made it!!! 21 days, liquids only (although on Day 19 I put a BBQ potato chip on my tongue and let it dissolve LOL!!)
I feel like eating everything!!! I feel so happy that I actually accomplished this goal because I wanted to give up every single day.
Thanks in a large part to myLot I stayed on this juice diet, because I had been writing about it, so everytime I got ready to give up and eat, I would think..."What if someone writes to me and asks me how my juice diet is going? I'll have to tell them that I quit!" So, to avoid the embarrassment of being a quitter, I kept on going and now I have made it to Day 21...YIPPEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I DID get the results that I was after, but I need still even MORE results!! This was a good start though.
Thanks for the congratulations because it was rough there for me for awhile, but thank God I made it through. It was like fighting a war, me VS myself.

Thanks for the encouragement because I need it.
Today one of my friends was telling me about how being on a juice diet or a fast can lower my metabolism and cause me to NOT lose weight. I told her that it is IMPOSSIBLE for one to not lose weight if they do NOT eat...you don't get fat from AIR. She cut me off in the midst of my conversation and switched the topic to something else. She hurt my feelings when she did that, but that's ok.
I want to continue to work on this diet because I have somthing to prove. Thanks for "listening". :)

I congratulate you for sticking to your goal. Yet, I would like to know what did you get out of this diet. Did you shed some pounds? How many? Was it worth it? I would also know how overweighed you are. I am 20 pounds overweighed so I´m not what you would call obese. Please share!

Thank you for congratulating me for sticking to my goal. I wanted to give up every day, believe me, but I said that I was going to do 21 days and I DID 21 days!! What I got out of it was that it showed me how much I am in LOVE with food. I have to stop eating so much because it is not good for me. I also got out of this diet that I CAN stick to a goal that I set for myself, if I pray, and put my mind to it.
I did shed some pounds, I don't know how many because my scale is in my garage in a box somewhere, but I DO know that my clothes fit looser, that I have more room in the front seat of my car when I drive.
I wanted to lose 50 pounds, not 50 pounds in 21 days, but just using this diet to start me off. Like I said, I do not know how much I lost. I know that I need to unpack my scale and keep track of my weight if I REALLY want to chart my progress.
I say yes, it was worth it. Before this diet, I felt lazy all the time, only thinking about eating. Not getting things done because I was always going out to eat with my friends or all the time in the kitchen cooking. Spending A LOT of money on food. Now, I'm trying to eat in moderation, I'm trying to do better with food than I did BEFORE the 21 day diet.

I have thought about your answer and decided that I would try your attitude (better than any diet in the world). What I mean is: you set yourlself a goal and stuck to it. I love food and I´m a very good cook. Tht goes against my slimming. But I know that with the mediterranean diet, I can slim down little by little. I´ll do it! Thanks!

Uuuuggghhhh, I HATE bbq chips!!!!, but since I was on my diet at the time when my son and I went grocery shopping, HE got chips that he likes (bbq and some other kind), and I didn't get ANY chips, I got SOUP.
But hey, it was like 2 o'clock in the morning, and the thought of drinking another cup of soup was just p*ssing me off, and I had been seeing my son all the day before chowing down on these bbq chips like there was no tomorrow, so that morning at 2 am I said to myself, "instead of soup, i"m gonna have myself one of those CHIPS."
Thanks for the congrats on my accomplishment. It was such a challenge, let me tell you, but I hung on in there and finished what I started, which was a really good feeling. I did lose weight, but I don't know how much because my scale is packed away in my garage. I still need to lose more weight, but this was a good start.

Congratulations to you. I want to try
that juice diet too. But I'm a little worried
about the side effects. What are the side effects?
And what are the good results from the diet?

Thank you so much for the congrats, because I wanted to give up every day. It was so hard for me to go without solid food for that long because I love to eat, but that is the VERY reason why I did it. I grew tired of being so in love with food.
I drank juice, Campbell's soup, yogurt, but I did not CHEW anything. I would say if you are concerned about the side effects that you should seek medical counsel from a doctor. There are plenty of doctors out there that are familiar with liquid diets.
When a person is about to get lap-band or gastric bypass surgery, they are often put on a liquid diet before AND after the procedure.
My side effects were more mental than physical. I was irritated, and aggravated, and MAD because I could not eat. Check out some of my other discussions, like when I was on Day 5, then you will be able to read for yourself how I was feeling.
I must say though, that throughout the whole process, I felt "lighter", less weighed down physically, but sometimes VERY depressed because I could not eat.
