Two Of My Dogs Just Passed Away...

Hello guys let me express the sadness that I felt just a moment ago. All of my personal life - ever since I was a little child - I am already attached with pets. One of those pets I really love most is dog.
A passion of caring dogs is still continues in my life even when I entered into married life. Me and my wife love dogs both, in fact we have lots of dogs and cats.
Sad to say, five of those dogs perished away because Mr. Canine Parvovirus snatched them away from us. The first three was taken from us last year and the last two just yesterday and today.
My wife cried so hard and I was also crying deep in my heart because one of the last two was really my FAVORITE dog. I told my wife not to be carried so much with her feeling because our pets are just part of our life's variation. We treat our dogs as part of our family we love them so much. We even borrowed money from friends ( if we run out of cash) for them whenever they would have health problems that need quick action.
Now, one of my favorites passed away. Am sure I will be missing him so much because every time I go home from work he was the first to one jumped on me running every where barking the joy he felt because his master is already home...
Now, no more "him" that would greet me first at my gate...
Are we have same attitude in caring our dogs?
How do you treat your dogs?
Please do share...
I will dedicate (as a TRIBUTE) all of what you've shared to my favorite dog who just died..

hi mobhomeir,
I understand your feelings it's been a year since ehrlichia killed our dog she was just a 1/2 years old that time though I have two new dogs now still I remembered her I am a pet lover and seeing them past away really hurt a lot .
I am sorry for what happened this kind of virus is really a killer cause it passed the virus to other dogs.
Just a week ago I thought my two dogs will leave me cause they were infected with the same bacteria that killed my other dog last year I was glad that I sent them to vet and give them proper treatment they are fine now.
happy mylotting

I'm sorry for the lost of your dogs, I lost my first dog when I'm still in high school I keep crying for I really missed her a lot. She's so sweet and funny she loves to play and run with me all the time. Since then I never tried to have one it's so hurt when I lost her. I don't have siblings my parents are busy and she is the only one I can talk and we enjoy every time. When I have my own family my kids want to have one so I decided to to bring home another member of family. He is woopie she is already 10 years old now I told to my daughter someday she will said goodbye to us I hope we will not get too much affected like what happened to me before.

I'm so sorry to hear that. I've had the same experience before that's why I don't want to get another pet and be attached to them again because it is really hard to recover from the loss. But you will soon.. I'm sure you pet had a great time with you. You will be okay soon.

Hello friend, I'm so sorry about your dogs. I don't actually have any pets right now but I understand how you felt.
Its just like a precious things which you have lost. Your dogs meant a lot for you because of being sweet to you whenever you arrived home.So I know no one will bark and jumped on you.
I wish I could have a chance to look after a dog but unfortunately I don't have much time to take care of it and my place is not allowed to adopt any kind of pets.
I'm so sorry friend and to your wife about those dogs just left away.

i'm amazed to hear how you show love to your dogs..even if you can't have them forever, just be strong:)

I am sorry that your dog passing away! I know the feeling well, but I must tell you that my dog was ran over by a truck and many years later I can still remember and think about him often! A friend offered to buy another dog, but he did not understand that it is not the same, as one dog can't replace another you loved!

Your not alone, me and my family suffered the same fate. I'm sorry for your loss. Parvovirus is active these days, it's hot and humid. Before getting another one, make sure to sanitize your whole house. You can use anything with chlorine, like zonrox. Parvovirus stays dormant and becomes active again given favorable conditions.
I hope you and your wife will be able to move on. It's heartbreaking to ever experience such tragic occurence over and over again. However, there's no hope with Parvovirus.
