My first "0" Response Discussion...

Hey my myLot friends. I have been with myLot for about 5 months, and have always had at least 1 or 2 responses to my discussions. I recently posted about investing in the Iraqi Dinar and found that after 2 days now there were no responses.
Now, it may be just me, but I kinda dont feel the love like I use to. Not just because no one responded, but also because my friends didnt. It may be that they are busy, or it may be the I posted it under the wrong interest.
I recall that investing is investing, but it shows a man and a little boy sitting next to each other. I thought at first, "this is odd" but only brushed it off as nothing important.
I dont know,, and I hope that it is nothing, but I feel kinda left out when I either post something, or respond to something, and people just go right over it. Have you ever had a "0" response discussion, and how did it make you feel? Thanks for joining me on this discussion... Have a great day...

Makes a lot of sense. I guess it is that way for me. I dont know if anyone else has had "0" responses , but now I feel like helping those out who I see with this.
I think I will make it one of my new things, look for those who have "0" responses and help them out. That way it gets us both involved in myLot. Thanks Olleenz for that response...have a great day...

Hello, snrm007. I agree and I would like it to be a more permanent thing for me. I dont know who the OP is but when was that topic? Was it recent? I really would like to see now what other people are doing to get more traffic to their discussion. Have a great day...and again thanks..

I feel the same way. The topic that the OP made a discussion about with 0 responses is a really unique and diverse thing to talk about. I would actually be surprised if anyone answered that discussion! I know you may be interested in it but probably not a lot of people are as well!

ya that happens sometime, My first "0" response discussion was about travelling and my interest towards going to lots of places and my regret of being stuck with my hometown for quite sometime...it is took a full 2 weeks before one responded and i quickly jumped to respond to that one...it was heartbreaking to see even my friends didnt response too, but at that time i didnt have much friends, those that added me to their list were giving me reference link, so ya cant consider them as one...wait for sometime, someone will response or alright might have..

Thank you for your response, salma07. It is hard to see your discussions go unanswered, because to you it is important. Others may not see it that way... But many have responded to this one, so I guess it kinda makes up for it... But, I still would like to know peoples thoughts on this Iraqi Dinar deal... I will request you as a friend, so you can have one more. Have a great day...

Thanks codymac..ya i know, i too like to see my discussion full and most of all, i like to comment back and have an active part in my discussion. Best part is making friends with these fun topics..i saw your post about Dinar, frankly i cant post there because i didnt knw what to to say, and posting words like "yes", "this is good" is not good, wait for sometime, i knw being an "almost" newbie..we get these 0 post discussion sometimes or other untill we get the hang of it...
cheers

Awwwwwww hereƬs a hug
I don't get any now but when I was a new user I did at the beginning.
It could be that no-one is interested in investing but it could also be that it's the week-end (assuming that you posted it recently). Personally I know nothing about investing and therefore you will not see me particpating in it - but I'm here on this one

Thanks mysD... You brightened my day. Yes and you know it is like I sort of knew not many would, but at least one person has had to have been an investor, or something, you know what I mean?
Being the week end makes a lot of sense. People want to be out playing and having fun. Being with their families. Yes, I did post it on Thursday. Thanks, and have a great day...

awwwww that's okay. sooner or later someone's going to respond to it. i would actually even get responses up to now in my discussions i made a long time ago. but i rarely make a discussion. i enjoy it more when i just keep on responding to discussions you people make here.
there are times i think that a few of your friends are not online and so you make think that the discussion you make may be ignored... don't worry that can happen to anyone. cheer up

Hey cherish14. Thank you and I really do appreciate all of the responses. You are right about getting responses late, I got one just a few days ago that I started about 4 months back. Thank you too for the encouraging words, and I hope you have a great day.

i can understand how you must be feeling after getting no response. . i faced the same a while back, however, one of my friend posted to make happy and posted some quality comments. i owe him a response....:)
anyways, the topic of the discussion was not appealing to many. unfortunately even your friends could not relate themselves to the topic.
dont loose hope. i have seen many people brain storming to get a topic for many responses.

Yes, i see what you mean... I must do more of these, and will try for the record, of 50+ responses.... No, but you are right, it is the secret. Just talk about something that affects many people, and off you go...
Have a great day.

Haha, that is so true, shwetat195. I really need to remember that it has a lot to do with the fact that not many people may not know, or care about certain topics. I know I skip over those I dont like, maybe soccer is an example I can use. But still, it is just like you said many have to brainstorm to get a response out. Have a great day...

It is always good to improve, muhsinhanis. Welcome to myLot, and I hope that you have MANY responses to your discussions. I know it can be discouraging to have none, and I am "rolling with it" so to speak. Anyway, that was nice of you to respond and I hope that you have a great day...

I saw your discussion about that investment I actually read about it but it seem I can't relate since I Dinar is not our own money. I'm sorry what you felt, try your luck next time hehehe cheers.
And I know it's your luck now my post is already on number 14.

Yep, lyn. Thank you for responding. I have had very much good fortune with this discussion, seeing it is one where I am complaining, But, I hope I can get some imput on it soon. I hear that it will revalue soon, so I want to be part of the excitement....
Hope you have a great day, and I will continue to make more discussions that people will want to respond to.

Take it easy. I have about four discussions which has not got any responses yet. I don't really mind it. Perhaps I just posted the wrong titles and they were not so attractive. I will keep on thinking more interesting discussions.
I love China

I've had many posts over the past 5 years with no response, and yes I do get that left-out feeling, but that's not the way to look at it!
This is a friendly Progra, and people are very relaxed here! If my Post is lackluster and does not push anyone's buttons, this is my fault, and I need to shape up and post a better one with more interest next time! Live and learn on myLot!

Ah, I know the feeling. It happens - don't take it too personally or it will drive you nuts! I know I've tried making discussions in particular interests on myLot but it's either too obscure, not popular, or in my case sometimes my discussions might be too long (please don't say boring - ha ha) to read. Ah, I just make up for it by replying to other discussions or starting new ones . . . just like you did here!

Hello, much2say. I try not to take it personally, because after seeing the responses to this discussion, it is something that can affect many people. Like me, I know nothing about soccer, and so I just skip over such discussions. Now I know how they feel. Thank you for your response, and have a great day.

Hello, Devliova. I dont have many discussions so it is not hard for me..hehehe...I see that you have 1970, which means you have been here for a good while. I know it may take some time to go through them all.
Thank you for the response, and I will make sure that I help out others with the same thing. I think it will help out those from getting discouraged get them to participate.

Umh, I have only 1 response on one of my topic but i am ok with it. I don't have many friends in mylot yet, and the reader may not interested to discuss about my topic. Then i open a new topic or just go to join discussing with the others members' topic...
You can do like that too, just feel happy with mylot and make discussions more.
Have a nice day!!!

Hello, ryanong, that is a very good attitude. I know how it may affect some and not others. I see too that a certain topic may not be interesting to some people.
Thank you for your response, and I hope you have a great day.

Hi there,
Oh yes, I have my share of zero response discussions. In my case, I have only myself to blame because I don't put my discussions in any particular interest, most of them are just in general discussion category. So they'll just get buried down the list especially when I post them at the time when my friends on the other side of the world are sleeping.

That is what I was thinking too, sishy7. I was hoping that that was the reason for no responses. But I see I need to have a little patience. Plus, with people in different time zones, it may take a while before someone ever sees it. Thanks for your response, and have a great day.
