Many people fail on go into debt because they get overwhelmed. Just talk to people who knows about it. My mother had to do all the paper works like the permit and sanitation and stuff. you also have do a background check on your tenants. There are lots more things involved than just buying a house and renting it out.

Hello, surveychick4. I wanted to do the same thing and decided to go to some seminars here in the Portland area. They actually have many agents who get together and help out those who want to invest, or become an agent. Just look online for some in your area and check out foreclosed homes. Sometimes you can get those cheap. But I suggest going to an agent and talking it over with them. They will be able to get your foot in the door... Have a great day.
