I was just wondering if anyone knows about any good social networking sites for poets. I am looking for inspiration and to connect with people who share my love for poetry. I joined a site called unitedworldpoets.com and I really enjoy it because you can comment on other people's poems and there are things called poetry challenges.
Any member can create a challenge. It is a competition that anyone can enter and the creator gets to make the rules and be the judge. I like this because it works as a poetry prompt and it's motivating because it is fun to win.
I really do like that site, but I would like to try something new out and connect with people who may not be members on united world poets. Have you heard of any good sites I can try out?

I don't know any social networking site for poets. But I think is a good idea, poets also need to share their art. I'd love to join unitedworldpoets.com but I don't really feel like a poet, I'm not talented. I can't write poetry, but I write short tales, so I hope to find a site (a social networking one) for tales writers, do you know any site for prose writers? If so, please share it with me.

I was checking out one site called writers-network.com, but it's really more of a forum than a social network and I found it really confusing. You can give it a try if you want, but I don't really like it.
I believe you can post stories on unitedworldpoets as well, but I haven't tried it.

I guess I better look for a site designed for writers in Spanish language. I've never tried to write stories in English, but I think I would do mediocre work, so I prefer to write in Spanish, my native language.

Yeah, I imagine writing in a second language would be more limited. I hope you find something.

I haven't heard of any sites that are particularly for poets but I do know that Facebook has some pages that are dedicated to artistic sides of people. You could even do your own page to connect to other poets and do some fun things on there. I am not a huge fan of facebook but my b/f has done a musician page there that he likes alot.
