Oh yes, the dreaded word when it comes to students and having to do papers, study for finals, or just do h/w in general. I 'was' a good student when I got my BA, constantly doing h/w days and even weeks ahead of time to get ahead in the game. Couple of times I got messed up if the teacher decided to cancel, change, or postpone the assignment, but usually nothing too bad that made me have to write it all over again. Lately, I have noticed in my MA program, I am just plain lazy. I procrastinate to the last day, when it is due and decided to do my work then. I don't know why, I have plenty of time to do things during the day since I only have part time jobs, but I just don't have that enthusiastic feel to learn, even if it is the major I want to do! I still get all A's and some B's but, I just don't see a reason to put any more effort into getting it done earlier until it is Sat. and I spent 1/2 the day just writing the 10 page paper. Hopefully next week I can be a little more on top of things.

I've been out of school for many years now but consider myself a huge procrastinator! It just seems that even if I'm not doing anything special, I still avoid doing what I'm supposed to be getting done. Like right now for instance...I have a ton of stuff I should be doing and I'm playing on the comp. lol

It took me years to break myself of that habit but I think that by the end on my schooling, I remained on task. Of course, there are times where for other things in life, I tend to fall into procrastination. I think that there is a problem, as there are just somethings out there that we would rather be doing than the thing that we need to be doing.
Of course no matter how fun those other things might be, we do need to buckle down and do the work at hand. Plus if we get the work done, then we have plenty of time to do whatever we want later as we relax and also less stress with trying to find the time. Of course, those things are seldom thought about by a lot of people, who would rather keep doing something for five more minutes and five more minutes and five more minutes and on and on.
