Greetings,
Since I'm off for a trip tomorrow I'd like to ask you, what do you do the night before you travel? Any special preparations?
I usually try to eat something light before I travel and I try to avoid getting too tired, other than that I usually have a bath before sleeping and gather some stuff I might forget close to my luggage (like chargers, headphones etc) , since I usually make my luggage the other morning. I also recharge my netbook and my cellphone so I could use them during the trip. I think that's all :P
Your turn :)

It really depends at what time the next day we are leaving. If we are leaving in the morning then that day before I will pack all of our things and go to the store and get what we need for our traveling and the same if we are leaving at night. Now if we leave in the moon time then I'll keep that car while my husband is at work. Take my daughter go to the store, pack the car and before 11am and get what we need. Then head out and pick up my husband from work and leave town. That normally works best for us since our daughter will take a nap while we are driving and we don't have to worry about stopping till she wakes.

We don't travel much so we don't have the roads memorized that and if something is closed or something we wouldn't be able to find our way. So we always use our gps when we leave town or going to some place in town.

I have my luggage closed and by the door early in the evening so I only need to eat, take a shower and get dressed and then I will sleep if I can all dressed with a blanket on top of me. Most of the flights I take are either at 2 or 3 AM until 6 AM. That means not a chance of a real sleep.

Flight time depends on many things. I only use airplanes to go abroad and the cheapest flights are usually at those wee hours. I prefer to spend less on flights and use thaat money having fun.

The night before I travel, aside form checking all my stuff, my gadgets battery and chargers. I also make a point that I already done some listing for my house the one is in charge when I left. Like if my daughter will not go along with me I always do some reminding notes for her in the the house like don't forget to water my plants and if there is an emergency always not forget our personal documents that is already prepared and ready to pick up, lock the gate and doors always and lastly don't over use the laptop and take care for I will be gone for a while.

All the traveling we do is by car. We have a power inverter to plug the laptop or anything else into. I do try to go through my list of things and double check the important stuff. Put the chargers in the carrying case for the computer--phone and camera chargers. I do not stay up too late, I eat as normal. We do not make really long trips often, but I like to have water and some food in the car, and maybe some handwork to do while hubby drives.

The night before an international trip I make sure I have my discount rail card and my train tickets to get to the airport. I look at train times to make sure I get to the airport around 2 to 3 hours before check in. I like to read through my packing list one more time and add any last minute essential additions. I recharge my digital camera and my net book. I make sure I have plenty of vegan snacks for my journey.
I have just come back from my trip to South America one week ago. It was stressful setting off on my trip due to my mom's car arriving and it getting a puncture. My sister had to be phoned immediately and she cycled to the train station. I had to get in my car and take all the luggage to the train station. When my sister arrived I rushed back home, parked my car and took my kids to the train station by walking. My disabled son is in a wheelchair, at the moment a disabled child's buggy. Then we took three trains to Gatwick Airport. Good luck with your trip and allow more time than you need.

Big trips sure are a little more stressful, thankfully mine wasn't a really big one so it wasn't that stressful, except that I did a sprint with my bag till the train cause when I arrived it was announced that the train was leaving in a couple of minutes :P

Well I prepare a checklist of essential items before I am travelling. Although I m not really the forgetful kinds, yet I hate it when I end up realizing in between the trip that I have forgotten something extremely important. So,better be cautious than being regretful. Also the checklist can be used while you are coming back so that you don't forget bringing back the important stuff you took for vacation.Trust me that sucks even more than forgetting things at home. Also, I always pack more stuff than I need just in case...Last but not the least, make sure that you are carrying your tickets/passes with you before you start from home. Last thing you'd want is reaching the airport/station and realizing that you forgot bringing the tickets.

I do about the same things before a trip. I make sure my phone and netbook are charged, my tickets and travel documents are ready and printed. I put everything that I use and might forget to take with me, like phone, comb, medicine, slippers. I re-think everything that I'm going to take to make sure I didn't forget anything.
I never sleep well the day before I travel, but I make sure I go to bed early, to get enough sleep. Have a safe journey!

I always have a travel list that I refer to everytime I pack up for a trip. From what clothes to bring, accessories to match, to toiletries and miscellaneous stuff. I literally check off those I already have in the bag, and tag those I still have to add right before i leave the house. I sometimes even have to set an alarm to remind me of whatelse I need to put in the bag, just in case I get too preoccupied with other stuff. Aside from preparing my stuff, I also make sure I get enough sleep, because I don't want to spend my first day at the destination sleeping.

after you prepared all your things for the trip, condition your mind of your travel. Make a picture of what you will do at this time and that. Your goals for the day. Remember before you leave the airport that all your stuffs are with you coz if you don't there will be no point in having your things packed up then lose it. And I always tend to have plan A, B, C if something goes wrong, you will know your way out and fix it. Bring your smile with you on your trip and to where ever you go. Don't forget it. :)

I usually don't prepare for my trip the night before. I usually stay late at the office finishing all my work before I disappear from the office for a few days. There is too much work to be done that I always stay after midnight and go home pack my things then take a shower before heading to the airport. It seems quite hectic, don't you think? hehehe...

I prepare all the stuffs I need for the trip. I double check to see each stuff is already placed in my luggage. During the trip, I prepare medicines for headaches and migraines. When I'm on a trip, I am prone to migraines and I get seasick or airsick. hehehe
