1st off every relationship needs trust and without trust well there really isnt a relationsip. if you cant trust the person you are with well there really is not point on continuing on with that person.
also there needs to be communication..
my husband and i have only been together for almost 3 yrs nor and a little over a year ago he left for about 3 weeks but we worked it out and things have been great. we are not only husband and wife we are best friends and i think that is important for a sucessful relationship :)

if you can not trust the person you will spend the whole relationship woundering what they are doing or who they are with and then you can not enjoy that great things that come from a relationship.

I think that there are a lot of things that people need in order to live a happy and successful relationship, and a lot of people never manage to find the things that you need to be happy together. The first thing that you have to do is to be able to communicate with each other and speak about the way that you feel about things. This means that you are able to stop problems from being an issue before they get too far, and this means that you are more likely to be able to sort out your differences than you would be if you didn't bother to talk about anything at all.

Hi ajithlal: I don't think secret formulas for love exist. However, good communication will always be the key for a healthy relationship and of course, people should always know that love is a fight and that you should always work, day after day for your relationship to grow and love remains.

The most important factor is trust i suppose.No matter the distance,also i think maintenance is also a true factor.People may not accompany by you all the time,but the feelings that both give to each other determines whether you still be together.That's my view about happy relation and hopefully that would be helpful.
