POLOYCYSTIC OVARIAN DISEASE -- This case is skyrocketing in number now among women in puberty. My attention was caught when i was diagnosed in my mid year in college. I have a very erratic menstrual cycle, mood swings and low metabolic activity. no matter how i starved to death or kill myself in exercising (this is just exaggeration of my effort),i can hardly see any response with regards to losing weight or increasing muscle tone. Basically I remain flabby until i was medicated.
Presently I am on hormonal treatment (Dianne 35). At some sort on metformin as well.
PCOS has myriad of signs and symptoms and complications. One most relatively challenging is obesity. Such that, along with this condition is insulin resistance. When the glucose in the body is not converted by insulin into energy, it will be stored in the liver and muscles in its complex form glycogen. As the maximum amount of glycogen reached, then excess glucose will be converted by the beta cell hormone into fats, thus leading to excess weight.
hormonal therapy treats no menses or irregular menses, excessive hair growth, mood swings and acne while metformin deals with insulin resistance issue. If you have these signs and symptoms, consult a specialist and dont self medicate.

How could you self-medicate something like that without extensively researching it first? Anyone to really look into this issue should be able to realize relatively quickly that it is something beyond their ability to take care of themselves. So how are you doing now, after treatment? Do you feel different than before?

I found out I had this as well about a year ago when I was getting a CT and a ultrasound for a possible ruptured appendix. I never really did anything about it though, just figured that my menstrual cycles were always horrible, and would always be so no matter what I did until they eventaully stop on their own. At some point I guess I might look into some treatement though.
