costochondritis..i just knew about it

hai peepss..well i just realised that it has been 3years since the first time i joined mylot..im almost 20 now..i want to share with you guys of my health condition..few weeks ago,i went to the hospital at 4am due to shortness of breath..i was so scared and panic..i could only think of bad things..the doctor told me that it was a gastrix reflux and i should be fine..that condition happend frequently and im so scared..my dad will be take me to this one specialist that he knew to check on my condition..pray hard for me guys that it is just a small problem

Costochondrities, and gastric reflux are two different things. Which one do you have? Gastric reflux usually only comes after a meal, and it can be taken care of or reduced with prescription medications. Costochondritis is the inflammation of the lining of the ribs and sternum. Can happen because of infection, overuse of the area, or injury. It can not be cured, just maintained in pain and reduce in exercise to reduce flareups. I have bad costochondritis that prevents me from doing hard exercise. I hope you turn out to be okay!
