Some people go and see higher education for the money's sake. However, how do you think? Do you think it is necessary to promote yourself and get more knowledge and spend more time on schooling? Some of my friend do suggest me to go to work early and experience does count.Just share your views and i would be really appreciate.

I agree that there are successful people who never finished college. That is true. But not all of us are lucky like them. It's luck with the combination of determination and skills that made them successful.
In most cases, before we can be hired in one company, we need our diploma. It's our weapon. Without this diploma, no one will hire us if we're going to apply for a white collar job. With regards to blue collar jobs, most companies still prefer employees who finished at least second year college.

Well not really necessary but a plus but if you are in an office especially government offices you need those if you want promotion.. it all depends on where you want your career to go.

Well if you happen to chance upon many of the richest people right now they are rather not that educated as most professionals are in this world. If you look at the personalities of Bill Gates, and many other successful people you can see that they were not able to either finish schooling.
But in my own opinion for a person who has a goal in life he should achieve what he wants by educating himself. It may not necessarily require him or her to finish higher ed depending on their own goals in life. I also see many who pursued higher education and prospered from their fields because of that but that is not a guarantee for your true success and happiness of course. They can just aid you to your goals in life.

Really thank you for your advice and it is really helpful.Personality is important and also we need an ambitious heart for your goal. That's a reasonable factor for us to achieve our dreams.Anyway, nothing could stop if we have a strong mind to reach that goal. Thanks again,my friend.

It just means that you have to set your mind what you really like. Look at Bill Gates he did it by his own means without bothering to finish his college and he got successful in it.
Looking at lawyers, doctors, and other professionals, they needed to get higher ed because they have to specialize their skills to achieve that goal.
But those two contrasting success stories in the end boils down to happiness. You may have achieve those but are they really happy with where they are now. This is for me what defines success in life.

well as we can see, not all of those who had a good educational background are successful. experience indeed is very important and as long as you are very hardworking and not give up, you can reach your goal. but who wouldn't want to have a higher education if given the chance right? it is like our advantage... but we still need to work hard and focus and never give up.

Well the way I look at it, not everyone is academic, some do well in studies and others do well on practical work. This world needs both. We all learn in different ways, through books or by hands on the job, either way as long as you are happy with what ever you achieve is the most important of all :0)

When I did my degree my course had its fees paid my the my local education authority. Therefore it was free of charge for me. In addition they gave me a grant to cover my living expenses. Only in my final year did I have to take out a student loan. I paid that off easily within a couple of years of working full time in primary school teaching. In order to be a teacher the person must have a relevant degree and qualified teacher status. I know that all that studying was worth it.
In the time we currently live in a degree is no longer free. Students have to pay course fees and don't get a grant like I did. I feel so sorry for them because they get into heavy debt. Due to high unemployment the promise they will get a graduate employment when they end their course is not there. Some graduates take a fill in job and then wishes to move to their career. However they can't find a position it their own career. The student loan would have to be paid later once they earn enough money.
Unless the person wishes to be a teacher, lawyer, doctor, dentist, vet or other profession I would say a general degree with heavy debt it not worth it.

You are so right and i think the student would also feel lucky one cause we still have the chance to get a good education. However,in some poor countries, the children are so eager to get the chance.Since i'm getting older,my fee of education can be much expensive,my situation is different,So,i determine to be a better person and make them proud.

Obviously people should not feel rather obligated to really have higher forms of education. Sometimes it is rather necessary for certain careers and perhaps having the knowledge will benefit you later in life. However, if you go into a career where education is secondary and experience comes first, then obviously there are times where higher education is not necessary.
Plus there will be times where higher education may not be relevant right now but there are times where it can be rather relevant later on. Given that there are many people who are going to school later, to get a degree to advance their careers, because it was not something that they needed at that point when they were younger but now it really is for them. It can benefit some people but for others, it is just a rather expensive piece of paper.

This really depends on your values. There are people who go for higher education becaues it gives them fulfillment. It may be their goal to achieve a status in life. In other cases, higher education may be required for job promotion. But, it also won't make you less a person, if you don't pursue such. I have been wanting to get a degree in education, apart from my degree in Computer Science. However, other priorities like family got in the way.

That's why I study and work at the same time-OK, my study time is going to be a year longer but I'm gonna have a diploma and some kind experience, too, by the time I leave the university :D. Because they might ask for a degree if you want to work at a nicer place where you could have a better salary, but experience is always a plus.
