Rarely I do watch horror movies, sometime i watch it in daytime only. But bast night i did watch a super horror movie. It is the first time i did like that because i am so scary whenever watching horror movies. I turned a lamp while watching it on a laptop but that movie made me so so scary.
Then i went to sleep. I turned off the lamp but every scene in that movies still appear in my mind, i couldn't sleep at all, feeling there is a ghost near me, blooding coming out, etc as in that movie. Then i turned the lamp on, nothing except me in my room of course...but it is not easy for me to sleep also.
Are you scary to watch horror movies? Have you ever been like me last night?

@wittynet:I don't have a nightmare after watching horror movies. If i watch at daytime, then it maybe ok because i will think of many things else happened in a day, not that horror movie.
I watched it at night then it is really hard for me to sleep. I got a phobia of all scar images of horror movie. Whenever i close my eyes, all of it appear...then i am in fear...

My favorite movie category is horror. I don't know. I find it exciting, thought provoking and really makes me watch it till the end as its not boring. Gory scenes like in zombies interest me much. Its not that I am a freak or something like that, its just that visuals like that strikes my imagination. After i watch these movies, I think of me as the lead character or the zombie whoever I think made the story interesting. So this way, I can be a zombie or a zombie killer without being a real zombie and blah, blah. One odd thing also I'd like to add is that I get scared only watching it when there are other people watching with me, especially girls. THey infect me with their screaming, thrashing that I myself would just stay quiet and pretend to be brave when in fact I close my eyes when the eery part is coming. But I guess getting scared watching movies is just normal. Its not good for kids though as they can get nightmares.

My friend said that it is just movie, people made it and nothing is real at all but i still freak out when watching it, zombies from anywhere in a house and appear suddenly, i feel that they appear in front of my face when it is appeared in whole of my laptop's screen. You know my feeling at that time...my heart jumps and i scream...
I didn't watch horror movies when i was a kid and sure if i have kids, i wont allow them to watch horror movies also.
One of your favorite is watching horror movies, I greatly admire you....^^For sure you already watch many horror movies. Which one of it is the most scary that you watched?

everything's back to normal again... because the problem is, i can't sleep with the lights on so when i am scared, i got no choice but to leave the lights on.

I often do close my eyes at the scariest scene of movies, but sometime i don't know it will be so scary then watching...and...being scary.
if i don't turn lamps on, it is so darkness, I shudder to think of movies, i may imagine there are ghosts at the door, near my bed, ...then i have to turn lamps on.
Think of that horror movies i watched last night, i am still scary now..even in daytime.

It is not easy to change, Almond. i used to think that, i wont be scary anymore when watching a lots horror movies, but it does not work. I am still scary and couldn't sleep after that. A phobia of that movies is remaining in my mind during 2-3 days.
We don't need to give up watching horror movies but we can watch it 1 horror movie in a month, then it is ok i think..lol.

I enjoy watching horror movies, but not when I'm alone. But, nowadays, I don't see very scary horror movies, anymore. I like Asian horror movies.

Perhaps, I'm not shopping around enough to see good options.
The scariest I've seen, so far was that Thai horror movie - "Shutter". Hollywood, even made their own version of it, but didn't match the original.

I've got quite a strong constitution when it comes to horror movies, but sometimes I can find a well-done ghost story will scare me. When that happens, I usually stay up for an hour or so after the movie has finished, and watch something very light-hearted on the internet - mostly on YouTube. That seems to knock the corners off the scary parts of the movie I've watched to a point where I can usually sleep.

Wow, you really do enjoy to watch horror movies and don't get phobia of it at all. You find more scariest part to watch and sleep well after that...I feel great admiration for your courageousness. I cant do like you...i also never find more something very light-hearted on the internet as you do.
My friend who often watch horror movies said that Japanese horror movies are the most scariest. I am not brave to watch those Japanese horror movies that he wanna share to me. Do you think he is right?

When I was a kid, I always had a bad dream when I watched a horror movie before I went to sleep. And its very scary. Thank God, I don't get into this situation again.

The other day, they were on sci fi all day and I watched all day in between taking care of my responsibilities. A friendd came over and could not understand why I would watch them. I mostly think they are funny. They never scare me and I am not like my sister or sister 'n law who have to cover their eyes when they think something is going to happen.

How you can do like that? You don't scare at all, but ghosts may appear suddenly, blooding, killing...I shudder to see it
I do cover my eyes as your sister and sister 'n law too.
it is more scary if i watch horror movies alone at home...after that i should turn on all lamps and i may not dare to put my foot on the floor also.

Yes, i know it is not good when watching horror movies alone, but some my friends don't enjoy with it if we watch on the laptop. They prefer to watch it in a big screen. I don't dare to watch horror movies on a big screen, it will be more scary...
You do watch horror movies with friends or many people around, but do you get a phobia of it after that?

Care to share what movie is that? My mom (and sometimes me too) loves watching horror movies. I only remembered myself being so scared when I watched Hostel I. Other horror movies is just the same for me. I get scared while watching but soon forgets about it.

Hi,
It is nice when you can forget it soon, and it is not affect your sleeping at all. I like it. However, i need 2-3 days to forget it, so that it is really hard for me to sleep in 1-2 nights after watching horror movies.
Screaming, shudder, heart jumps out, etc...are what i get during watching horror movies even though i cover my eyes at scariest scenes. My life is reduced a bit whenever i watch horror movies, seriously.

I guess it is better if you won't watch too much of it, try to watch at least once in a month... For me sometimes I get scared just right after watching a good horror flick... and when I have to go upstairs where it is really dark or inside the washroom, then I'd feel a bit scared and somehow imagining the scenes I saw in the movie... Thinking what if it happened with me now... But I won;t have a hard time sleeping in 1-2 nights.

I'm worst that you! I cover my eyes at gruesome scenes or cling to someone else. I can't sleep with lights off because I have this feeling that someone might sleep next to me. I always cover myself with a blanket because I kept on imagining scenes from horror movies that someone might grab my feet. I don't watch horror movies alone.

I often turn off lamps, don't use mosquito-net when sleeping. However, i have to turn all lamps on, use a mosquito-net for sleep after watching horror movies alone. I do cover whole my body with a blanket too, i have a feeling that someone may touch my head if i leave my head out of blanket.
I live alone so that...i watch horror movies alone...
. If watch it with many friends, i may not coward like that (i hope).

Yes, i did it when i was too free at home and had nothing to do at night time. I have many horror movies on my hard-disk...so that i watch it one by one even though i am coward person. Luckily my room is not too big then i feel ok when turn on all lamps and watch. But after that, as you see, it is not easy for sleeping at all when sleep alone.
I really don't understand why i am so coward like that even though i don't believe that ghost, vampire exist, but thinking of zombie moving, vampire's face when biting... from movies i am freak out...
I think i won't give up watching horror movies, but i will try to watch it in daytime..^^

ahahaha, I get the feeling you have an emotional attachment to your mosquito net. Me too, I live alone and some say they've seen a ghost in my kitchen. So I always felt like someone is always there with me. Two people has confirmed it, I don't normally believe in those things, but if you live alone you kinda think of possibilities that this may be true. Anyway, I still salute you for having the courage in watching horror movies alone :)

Hello friend,
You are right. I also scared when I watching the horror movies. So I don't sleep in that night.
It is also my problem. So I also agree with you about the matter.
Have a nice day.

I like the feeling to be scared.. hahhaa.. (WEIRDO) that's why I am so into watching horror movies. I think it's so interesting. The thrilling part there is that when you screamed out loud because of a certain scene.. SO LOVE IT..
By the way what's that movie you are talking about? I would love to watch it too. =)

The point with scary movies is to scary you. So the effect is when you are scared. There is nothing like seen a movie with someone that is scared a lot when watching a horror movie. I personal don't get scared from horror movies since I don't believe in ghost and monsters, but when I was younger my mind played tricks with me and I think that is the that makes you most scared. It is all in your mind.

I never get scared watching horror movies and I never have any kind of nightmares (I used to be really scared of Chucky from "Child's Play" when I was little but that's about it. Since I've gotten older I can't really say there's been a horror movie to scare me. I would say I think it's because so many horror movies now focus so much on gore that they don't even try to be scary - they just try to be shocking and disgusting!).
I kind of wish I could get really scared or have nightmares sometimes as I would like a horror movie to have such an effect on me. x)
