I just lost my document to oblivion because I accidentally closed it. I tried to recover it by using tips from the internet but nothing worked. that's the reason why I am resorting to recovery software. Do you know any good ones? Please share! Thanks a bunch!

I hear that recuva is a good software for recovering deleted files.. it is a software you have to download first and then install. Here is a site to download it : www.piriform.com/recuva. i think it's free.

I was trying to back up a lap top from my co worker, and found out that "Recover My Files" from getdata is the best and its even rated Top 10 as a recovery tool. And about Pareto Data recovery it will take you 1 day to get the data from a 200GB HD.The Stellar Phoenix which is the Top 1 Recovery Tool seems Okey but texts from the main window are scrambled.
Hope that would help you jeanneyvonne ^_^

Of course, you already helped by replying and recommending. I'll check it out as soon as possible. I hope it's freeware or at least there's a free version. Although, I would be really want it to be a freeware. At least, I won't be nagged into getting an upgrade.
