After watching Forrest Gump last week, I realize how important the teachings of our moms. We might ignore them, but someday when they're gone or if the situation requires, we remember those little advises and teachings we used to hear.
Though, Moms usually sound so annoying because of repetitions, still, their way of scolding and constant reminders hit us within our hearts. And that make us real humans. Real because we act like human and we humble ourselves as human.
I want to comment also how Forrest Gump see life. Despite of Jenny's excuses or ways to get rid of him, he still manage to see life as beautiful as it seems. When he ran and ran and ran, he look at the sky and realize how beautiful and amazing it is.
It reminds me how beautiful life is.
To live life as happy as we could.
To love people unconditionally.
To enjoy life no matter what circumstances come.
And most of all to acknowledge the creator.

When my mom was still alive my mom always say, do what makes you happy but consider the bad and good consequences that follow. So now, I'm so cautious. I think about ten times or more before doing things and making decisions.

I honestly can't think of any sayings that my mother used/uses all the time that have helped me to learn a lot about life. However, being as close as I am to my mother I've been able to learn a lot about life from the life that she has led. These are things that I will remember through everything that might come in my life. She was widowed at a young age and still raised my siblings and myself to be responsible adults. She also made mistakes that I learned to never make.
I love my mother a lot and I hope that she is in my life for many years to come.

Many of us could testify how Moms taught us about life. And me, though I only have 19 years to live with my mom, I could say, the best lessons I learned came from her. The same with you, my mom raised us to be a better person. She was separated with my dad, and I lived my younger years with her. Until her last days.
I learned to forgot all my insecurities and at the same time, the best lesson is when she draw us near to God.

Forrest Gump was one of the best movie that I've ever watched... It's so inspiring... And the movie it self talks a lot of things about life... Jenny, Bubba shrimp and Lt. Dan and are some of the characters that adds more color to the film... Although considered as a classic... But I consider this film as one of the best...

Yes, I agree with you. It should be a general patronage. Must be shown to youth and to everyone. Lessons from this movie is really worth living. And best to share too.

Well lucky you.. you had a mother who was like a friend and was able to able to advice you..
My mom and i were never that close, it was like having an enemy and a mother. Most of the time though she is a mother but we could never be on the same level of thinking. I could never recall the time when i want her to just listen to me, she was always being a mother...
But then i also appreciates all the effort she gave me and my brother, she was able to send us both to private school and i know she worked hard for that.. plus she also watched my kids with great care.
I am a mother now and thanks for the greeting.

Though you have a frienemy mother, I can say, you learn something from her. Maybe implicit. Cuz you appreciate her hard work and that is something to learn already.
Congratulations cuz its really hard to be a mom. Although I'm not yet a mom, just a single lady, I can see how hard it is. Usually when I watch movie, TV, soap opera and from my mom's experiences, made me realize how hard but enjoyable it is.

It is mother's day today.
And even though I live half-way around the world from her, I took time to call her yesterday. I only talk to her once in a while, and like you said/wrote moms can be repetitive. Maybe it's because I only talk to her once in 2 months, that's why she keeps on repeating her advice. But it does sound good to hear it, specially at times when you most need it.
