I want to travel in and out of the country. Or just within the vicinity of Philippines but no one wants to come with me. Because they have works, don't want the heat of the sun and many reasons.
Oh I wish I could find a travel buddy. Someone who is somewhat adventurous as me. I wanna try a lot of things, eat different foods go to underground places or top most....... waaaaaaaaaaah.. all I can say I really like adventure. But seems hard to have one cuz they are so busy with their usual routine and their lives.
Anyone wants to be my travel buddy? heheh kidding. But have you ever felt the same thing ?

Hi there,
It seems we share similar views on the subject. I myself have been feeling a little bored with my daily routine and have been longing to get out and get some adventure. Also, Philippines is not too far away from India so just in case you were not kidding, you can count me in as your travel buddyI'd be more than happy to go out and explore new places and that too with a stranger. After all, going on a trip with a stranger is an adventure in itself. What say??

Hi there,
Thanks for the response :)...Yes I'd like to know you too. But what would you recommend as a platform for us to get to know each other? Are you on Facebook? Would you like to share your FB profile with me? Or do you want the conversation to continue here only? Please let me know

Yes, thats true. Its a great trip then. I'm pretty serious. I have friends in India that I'm inviting here in the Philippines. And I met them online. But of course before anything we should know each other.
If you are keen, then, pleasure to meet you and be my travel buddy. :)

Hello zaga_cleuth :)
It is nice to travel with your friend(s) together.. But I prefer travelling with one friend who likes the same activities rather travelling with bunch of friends.. Like I did before when I went to Thailand with 3 friends, 2 of them only want to go to shopping and spending a lot of money.. Me and my friend are not shopaholics, so we decided to split up into 2 groups.. Me and my friends decided to walk around the street, and 2 of my friends went to the supermarket and bought a lot of things..
Sometimes it is great to travel with friends, but if you don’t have travel buddy, why don’t you go alone being a solo traveller/backpacker?

It sometimes comes up to my mind. To travel solo. But, I find it a bit lonely. It seems like I'm a loner or whatsoever if thats the case.
I want to travel with my friends, yes, but we have very different interests, I like adventures and they like comfort.
I'm looking for a travel buddy for almost a year now. Hahaha.. .And maybe, one day I should go alone and there I could find and meet my travel buddy. .
What a romantic scene. lol

For me, traveling alone is the ultimate adventure. hahaha... You don't know what will happen and who will you meet. It is not that it is lonely, it is how you go around and make new friends. I have friends like yours. They want comfort but I want to explore and go around more. So sometimes it is better to travel alone.

Really? Maybe I should give it a next time. I'll just overcome my fear. I'm scared to travel alone because I don't want to meet goons. lols.

let's travel. well, not so fast because i need to ask permission from my wife who is my constant travel buddy. traveling is always fun if done with someone whom you feel comfortable with. traveling becomes so easy and enjoyable. there are more memories shared in the adventure together. the experiences are more profound and meaningful when made with others.

Yes, that is exactly defines what's in traveling. And the memories that I gain with whom I shared it is really the best moments and best adventures that I could treasure, wherever I am and whenever I got old.

I understand perfectly well how you feel. I have wonderful friends but none of them have time to travel with me anywhere. I love to travel, but many of them have to really work it out with house, work, husband, kids and even grandchildren.

The same dilemma that I'm experiencing. Actually, I'm still studying and just working part time. Many different jobs but not a daily basis. I own my time and no boss at all. That's why anytime I wanted to go, I manage to go.
My friends just finished their schooling, and they haven't tried working since then. And so, I can't just ask them to go on leave or whatsoever just for leisure. They took up 4-year courses and I took 5.
I sometimes think if working with boss is a good idea. lols.

I'm also starting to feel that with my friends. Since I left work, I can't seem to get the right timing to meet with them. They're always tired after work and would prefer to sleep on weekends.

I've felt that way many times before. I love traveling too. But like you, I find it hard to get someone to come with me. Sometimes I even want to just travel by myself. I haven't tried that but I want to. I just feel kinda scared. Good thing that when I had a boyfriend, he became my travel buddy. Happy trails!

You're lucky, you always have the option to travel when you want to. Although, its sad not to have a ready travel buddy, but try to just get their schedules and plan out your trip when they are free. Also, you might want to consider traveling alone, that would be one heck of an adventure.

After reading other mylotter's suggestion to travel alone, I'm now charging myself and getting myself ready to try it.
I think there's nothing wrong in backpacking alone. One thing that bothers me is the thought that "I'm a loner" . Cuz it seems like I'm a loner if I'll travel alone.

No, you don't have to feel like a loner. Perhaps, that's how other people would perceive it. But, you can take that chance to make friends in the places you visit. Be social and not a loner!

I guess I am lucky to have friends whose feet are as itchy as mine when it comes to traveling our beloved country. We have even made a bucket list of historical places that we need to see before we reach 45 or before our knees give out, whichever comes first.
For the first quarter of this year, we were able to go to one of those places in our bucket list which is the Cordilleras or the Rice Terraces. It was a very physical activity or travel since it involves a lot of walking since there is no public transportation (local) in the places we went to, or it is impossible to get any vehicle in the village since it is just a trail that was cut in the mountains.
I am guessing that you are young and most of your friends are busy making their careers. Don't worry because the time will come that you and your friends will be able to make plans of traveling even in the spur of the moment like my friends and I do. When I was in my twenties, I was fortunate to get to travel Subic and places in the North because I started working at an early age. Sadly, my friends couldn't join me because at that time they were trying to find jobs because they were fresh out of college. These friends of mine actually confessed to being envious of what I was able to do at that time, since I was already a manager at a fast food restaurant while they were still out of jobs. Fifteen years later and now my friends can afford to travel and we are enjoying the places that we go to. We don't go to places where there are throngs of tourists like Boracay. We choose those unknown, unspoiled places that really makes your jaw drop in awe because of it's beauty.

When I was young and single, my travel buddy was my younger brother ( we only have 2 years gap), we both have similar interests and always agreed on what to do or do next, after getting married when we were on our 30's we sort of stopped cause it's so hard and expensive when you already have a family, you can't go that far anymore and the adventures became more family oriented, and yes, you have to work harder to provide for them.

Before my travel buddy was my older sister. She's a year older than me. And when she had her boyfriend, that is the time we stop traveling and doing some fun. Because she's always considering her boyfriend and finances. Though I'm the one paying it.
Well, I guessed that is normal. When relationship comes, the adventures when you're young starting to lessen.

Right now, I am feeling the same. I want to go somewhere! I want to travel around Philippines or go outside the country but my husband cannot go anywhere right now coz he just had a surgery. :-( I tried asking my friends, but they don't to go because they are busy also and they don't have enough money to pay for their travel expenses.

Hello zaga_cleuth, I can relate with you in this regard. I also love to travel. There are a lot of things and places to explore here in the Philippines and in the world. Just like you, I also have this nagging feeling that I want to have a travel buddy because I can't really travel alone, or at the least, I still have not tried. Most of my friends work on a schedule and I find it hard to encourage them to travel with me. Conflict in schedule is totally a bummer.
However, this situation encourage me to try traveling alone. I know it can be risky since I am a girl. Yet, I cannot let life passed me by without stepping out into the world. But I am still thinking about it, and hopefully within the year, I may be able to have some of my friends travel with me.

haha. You know, upon reading your response, a light bulb just flashes on my mind. Ting... hahah..
We have the same wants, like to travel. I guessed we could be together. LOL
I'm a girl too, and i feel like it is not that safe to travel alone. Most especially to places that is very new. I like adventure but not that kind of adventure that would harm me, ofcourse.
