hello friends,
Recently i came to know that, shaping of eyebrows , has along term effect, on our face, due to the continuous threading for years on the eyebrow area, the skin losses its elasticity and we have to face several other problems...women out there do you really think so....please give your opinions...

I think if someone doesn't do it excessively and doesn't overpluck/way their eyebrows, it's not going to do that much harm. I have really dark and thick eyebrows, and I have to groom it for me not to look idiotic, but I never overdo it, I do it just slightly... in the middle (otherwise I'd have a unibrow), and really slightly at the bottom, and not even too often, but I don't overthin or overarch it, because I like them full but just not too thick :).

hi doroffee,
Guess you are right about it.too much of anything is not good.I also have a very thick and dark eyebrows thus i needed to shape them a bit but not to the extent of overdoing it.I do the method but not too much.Just when it's needed..

hi. what ever i said is true. ...its along term effect which will be seen after few years, of continuous threading/waxing.....so we should be careful. avoid such things as far as possible, dont go for shaping, frequently or until it is very much required. .or else stop..it

I only pluck my eyebrows, it looks messy if I do not do so, my mom do it for me, but I know what you mean, losing elasticity, I also feel my skin so although I pluck my eyebrows. Thanks for the information, prashu228!

What kind of problem do you mean?
If the skin loses its elasticity, does
it mean it will wrinkle easily? I don't
know if that's true unless there is a scientific
basis or a reputable source of the information.

I think those affect would only happen if you do it all of the time vs ever now and then. I do waxing of my eyebrows but not that often maybe once a year for just one really good cleaning. But normally I'll just pluck them myself at home with my tweezers. Every few months.

I'm not really sure about this. I have never threaded or waxed my eyebrows. Basing on your discussion, I'm thinking twice now whether I should continue my plan or not.
