I sometimes think that student athletes, especially in college, are under-rated. Some of the top students in the classroom are student athletes. At large state schools, athletes can receive assistance by someone taking notes for them. However, at smaller private institution, students do not have that available for them many times. They really have to work ahead of time to keep up with the work. Many times they have to take exams early and they still make good grades. I give them a lot of credit for their hard work.

I really give respect to student athletes. They manage to participate in sports events and study in school at the same time. That must be very hard for them. Yet, I have seen a friend who has sacrificed school performance just to join some basketball practice. After his practice, he does not have the energy to read and do his homework anymore. I think this is a downside of being a student athlete. Sports needs time, energy and practice while schooling requires hard work and devotion. But if you really have the guts to multitask, why not be a student athlete, right? All praises to student athletes our there. Godbless you all.
