What do you do with extra money earned?

Sometimes I get lucky and win money with scratch offs and i end up just spending it. When you make extra money do you save it, like you dont even have it? Or do you tend to spend it faster ? After i spend the money i always ask myself why didnt i just put it away.

Hi, Enelly, when you say extra money do you mean money from a spare job? I have a full time job and about 12 years ago I found an extra one because my salary was not enough to survive. But the extra money just cover up my spendings. This month for the first time I think that I can save some money. It's good to have savings, you don't know what could happens in the future.

I think it would be good if you can save some part of it for investments, because that way you can have increased earnings with the money you earned. It will give you a better payoff later...I think they call it 'delayed gratification'. Anyway, if you have a lot other money for investment, then it that case it won't matter if you use that money immediately or invest it in something :)

Hi enelly,
I think we are the same, every i go to mall, I will look for that scratching booth and play there.I even win much but i just spent it for our food to my family.Its really good question for.I am not really that kid of girl that earning extra income.lol.
Anyway we need to earn some kind of that for emergency purposes. We are here in this kind of life that if we don't have any we can move out from the darkness.

Right now im re-investing my online earnings to generate more earnings. The money that I don't invest is just being saved so I withdraw it when I have a greater amount!

I live within a budget with the money I receive from my retirement and a widow´s pension. I save all of the money I earn online for vacations and traveling. This year I have a great interrogation becuse I don´t know if my health will let me travel too far.

Money earned with less effort, is really easier to spend than money we earned from hardwork. But, if its millions we're talking about, like winning a lotto, I would put most of it in a bank for future use. Perhaps, start up a business, too. For small amounts, I'd spend it right away.

i also agree to you on winning lottery. But some times if its big or small amount if your relatives came to know about it then you are doomed and the number of persons asking you for help in money will increase
