It seems as though I'm willing to do more for others than I am for myself.

What is wrong with me, is it just laziness?? I love to clean up, LOVE to, but sometimes I just get lazy or unmotivated or SOMETHING and I don't feel like doing not ONE thing around my house, BUT...if one of my friends calls and says, "Hey, wanna come over?" and I go over to HER house, if SHE has house cleaning to do, I'm MORE than happy to help HER clean up and get HER space together!! Why do I DO that??
Then when I come home HOURS later, my house is STILL in need of my attention just like it was prior to me going over to my FRIENDS' house, and do you know what?? I STILL may not feel like cleaning up. I just cleaned HER house, but don't feel like cleaning my OWN.
I'm telling you, sometimes I just do not understand myself.

I think it will really depends on you.Sometimes we insist and think to be lazy.So better try to think and feel to be not lazy so that you can do those things.

Yes, you are right. Since our thoughts make us who we really are, if you THINK you are lazy, then you are, in fact, LAZY.
I'm also going to agree with the person who wrote the response about how we tend to feel when we are at home, and that is when one is at home they may just want to chill and relax as opposed to WORK.
I just learned this, and it makes sense to me.

I'm not sure why this happens. I am the same way, I can help a friend clean up their house with no problem but when it comes to my own house i hate doing it. Maybe because when your home the last thing you wanna do is clean, when you can be relaxing or doing other things.

It makes me feel good (kind of) that you (others) have this same challenge that I do. I mean, it's not that I am finding pleasure in the fact that others can be complacent about the cleaning of their own homes just like I can be sometimes, what I mean is, as I'm sure you know, that it sometimes helps to know that you are not alone in a struggle that you face.
With my complacency in cleaning my house, I get on my own nerves sometimes, and that is bad. There is nowhere to run when you get on your OWN nerves, lol.
I DO like how you said that maybe it is because when we are at home we want to relax and do other things. Eureka! I think that is IT!
