Recently, I've decided to reread my favorite series of all time - Harry Potter. I've almost completed the third book and realized something. As many of you already know from reading the books, Sirius Black sent Harry a brand new Firebolt broomstick for Christmas. In my reading, I realized that Black couldn't have just walked into the quidditch supply shop and purchase a new broom and he couldn't have stolen it - it would have been obvious where the very expensive and stolen merchandise had ended up. So how the heck did Sirius purchase and send such a large object to Harry without getting caught AND anyone knowing who sent it or where it came from? (Also, he couldn't have purchased it as a dog... who would sell a brand new broom to a dog?)

As I can recall, Sirius asked Crookshanks to deliver the order to the owl office for him. Sirius used the name of Harry in the order slip but asked to get the gold from his vault. He noted it in his birthday card along with the Firebolt. I think it's on the last chapter of the book.

I said it wrong... *He noted it in his letter when they were on the train going back to Platform 9 3/4. The Firebolt was already given during Christmas. As I can recall, Sirius also gave the small owl to Ron, right?

He took Cookshank's help by interacting with the cat in the form of a dog. I don't remember the chapter number but JKR had described Cookshanks as an intelligent cat who did whatever Sirius requested. I think even the notes containing Gryfindor's passwords were handed over to Sirius by Cookshanks. This enabled Sirius to get into Gryfindor common room.

My first initial thought that it was maybe his or Harry's dad but the Firebolt is supposed to be a new broomstick. Maybe he got someone from the Order of the Phoenix to buy it for him?

Like read books Harry potter, right? I would rather see the movie. Because sometimes rather confused, look at the thickness of the book alone makes sleepy. Anyway see the movie more exciting.
