well philippines is not exactly strict when it comes to no smoking in public. Inhaling other's smoke is twice dangerous to our health than first hand smoke. If you have plans to travel, its better to bring vicks or whiteflower or other menthol ointments you use to sniff when you feel dizzy or nauseaous. feeling sick must be from the body's reaction to constant motion, disrupting normal functions inside our ear in charge of sense of balance. Try eating small meals before embarking. dont forget to bring a clean and damp hanky when the going gets tough.

yes, and if you can, just take the non-smoking sections wherever you go. But if you cannot really help it, it is never wrong to ask a smoker close to you,for him to stop smoking for the sake of everybody. It is your right to breath fresh air, not his air. lol.

True , i also do that to tell the smoker that please don't because i will be sick. I know is not good, and they are smoker maybe they are stronger because they practice to smoke but is not good either to them.

I used to have a bad case of motion sickness when I little. I remember arriving in kindergarten with vomit all over my skirt. I normally slept when I traveled. I vomit in the car, plane, ship, bus, jeepney, and on anything that moved. Fortunately, it has improved over the years and with constant traveling. And oh, motion sickness and sense of smell (foul smell) were really unbearable when I was pregnant. I always kept gummy bears handy to chew on to suppress vomiting.

Maybe it's time you travel more... Growing up, I rarely traveled long distances so my "guts" weren't used to motion. That is why, I make it a point to bring my kids to travels. I brought my eldest son on a 2-day road trip when he was still 4 months old. My sons were exposed to different modes of transportation early in life that they don't have motion sickness.

That's good experience because after all ,you improve i think less in vomit.Maybe in the first place when you are first timer rider, will feel that, but later you will improve. I am not travel much this time just before, maybe because i don't travel much now, i fell that vomiting.

When I was young until on my high school days, I vomit if I travel riding a bus specially. My head starting to ache and my sweat will come and turn cold, I started to feel dizzy and like you I feel something bitter on my tummy and I will vomit. Probably there is the bus and including jeep moves a lot that makes me dizzy and vomit. I also ride train when we go to Bicol, I vomit too. I can't take the smell of human urine.

I can't say that I conquer vomiting about 90%, I can now ride bus in airconditioned without vomiting. I still can't get rid of dizziness, I have a problem with riding in a moving object while my eyes is in use for example riding in bus, jeep or anywhere while reading, reading text messages or sending text messages. I'm not sure if that's what they call Astigmatism, I will research on that.

Me too. Just one hour riding will make me feel dizzy. I think I have the motion sickness so called. No matter if I ride bus, car or any transportation it will still give me the same feeling and yes, I don't like it so much. I just bear with the situation and so far I just feel dizzy for long journey and has never been vomiting because of it.(^^)

Most of it because of the air conditioner or the weather especially when it is hot weather. My head will start spinning and if that happen I will get something to drink. People said that if one have motion sickness they could bring oranges or orange juice as it will decrease the dizziness. It works sometimes~(^^)

oh i hate travelling as well especially when i am feeling nauseated, and if i am feeling really sick. I usually just need fresh air and i'd be ok... if i am in an airconditioned vehicle with no good room for air, i would not be feeling any better.

Normally I don't feel nauseous when I'm travelling, but I know the feeling... When I'm not feeling well generally, I'm more likely to feel sick on the bus, especially when the windows are closed and there is no air condition... it's tough to fight for hours with the feeling and try not to throw up. There is a medicine for it travel sickness that can be taken before traveling, but I haven't tried it. I read that ginger helps too.

I get airsick or seasick when travelling. Whether it's a boat or a plane, I have a tendency to vomit. That's I came well prepared by not eating too much before a trip. I also take bonamine before going on a trip. I also think you have taken that medicine before a trip.

I used to have that feeling all the time during travel when I was young. These days I get it only when I travel to places at a high altituded. I always have to take a bottle of water with me and whenever i feel nausetic, I take a sip or two and the feeling goes away. It has worked for me so far.

I only vomitted once, and it was because the driver was too pleased with his driving stunts and I got really dizzy sitting at the back portion of the van. I was so embarrassed because we had to take a stop so I could throw up on the street. Since then, I got more conscious about it, and I always take a chewable tablet that takes away the dizziness when you're traveling.

That is good too.You bring that chewable candy to avoid you to vomit. It is really good if you are ready for everything before to travel. I hate vomit and it feels different too.

It is an awe feeling to have such kind of symptoms while traveling obviously it is very uncomfortable to ones part to be uneasy and so likewise to be having it always while traveling but perhaps drinking medications before going can definitely lessened or probably eat less before adventuring because you can't enjoy your vacation per see because all the time you are worried with it.

Agree ,uncomfortable feeling for you.It is bitter inside the stomach ,could be a lot of reason.Maybe you smell something, and you are to vomit etc. Or maybe other things.

Hello, befrindwithme! Welcome to Davao City! I think that's what they call seasickness. I almost always have that feeling whenever I ride a bus. But that was when I was a kid. By now, I have grown out of it. I just do some precautionary measures for it not to come back, like not eating or just eating a little amount of food before travelling. And I bring lots of water whenever I travel so that I can push back the feeling of vomiting. I also take a medicine just in case. I hope you'll have a fun time here at Davao City!

Vomiting is a strong sign of illness or ill health. It is an act that one should not ask for whether you are traveling on a journey or trip or you are remaining at your home, school, work etc. It is something that one has to treat himself or see the medical doctor depending on how severe the case maybe. I think our diet has a lot to do with this habit. If we eat too much sugar in our meal we tend to have more worms in our stomach and this result in vomiting. Pregnant mom also vomit as a result of their pregnancy. I think vomiting is generally bad whether we are traveling or staying out home. The best solution is to get it treated as soon as one notices it. Have a great day!

So far, up to now I have not experience it in my life. I even experience riding inside a bus on a called weather with the airconditioning unit set on high temperature and we travel to a far place but still I did not have that vomiting problems. I don't experience dizziness too when I travel. It is normal for other people.

Everyone hates vomitting while traveling. Because it's sickening and "nakakahiya". Unfortunately, I'm one of the people who easily get dizzy in a bus, etc. And sometimes, I hate aircon coz it will make my dizziness worst coz due to the air freshener. How I wish I will overcome it. But I realized that if I eat before going to travel, I will vomit. And if not, I will not vomit. Just, being dizzy. But still it's frustrating.
