In work, I can say I am prosperous and attained or achieve the biggest trials. Like pursuing the likes of the leader even though materials were lacking. I have to ask help from department heads in order that the unit be functional. I've done everything in order to run the unit smoothly. I have to spend my own pocket for there was no budget. Even when at times that my staff was badly hurt her head due to saving life undergone surgery, i have to spend the cost of her surgery by my own pocket. The City or Local Government Unit wasn't able to do their part. Through this achievement not to mention all, jealousy occurs between colleagues. Beating you at the back occurred.
why does this will happen to some of the units? Does this occurred to you?

I think jealousy is not the proper term, it should be insecurity. I also experience this kind of situation in my work, although you are working hard enough for the company, they will still hit you when you turn your back. Also, they tried to pull you down to their level when they saw you stepping ahead of them. They just want you to stay atmost in their level or left behind.

Some are just insecure and don't want others to be higher than them. You are right, they are most often greedy.

jealousy is a human nature. Looking back to Cain and Abels time, jealousy is what drove the first murder. We are intelligent beings attracted to the new and shiny. If it belonged to another, we tend to wish it for ourselves. And the hunger for wealth and power drives us to find some more. It is also sad that many countries do not have strict compliance to employee safety, nor insurance for accident, health, life. We cannot even trust these insurance companies as a lot are scams and goes bancrupt at anytime. Disappointing a lot of people needing those benefits. The world is a dog-eat-dog-world.

Absolutely you are correct! colleagues even just receive a little salary wherein it will not compensate on their job. there was no insurance too. Politics plays bad role in this country of ours. they keep on accepting people to work with them with unequal payment unlike other countries. How sad......

common denominator is still human nature. Greediness and jealousy. Yes I know how politic goes. THe more money you have the more power you get. Money and power attracts corruption. so there you have it, goes a long way into our history..and presidents are not to be blamed as they just inherit what their ancestors bestow upon them. It's not the president that makes a country down, what consist of a country is, and that is the people. No unity, no peace. I dont think there is a country perfect enough to say they dont have the problems of every nation. Its just how it is dealt with more important.

I think that your question should be, "Why DOESN'T jealousy at work occur?"
Survival of the fittest! Everyone is trying to get ahead, and when certain people get promotions over others, then those people who did not get promoted are going to be jealous, and they have every right to be.
Honestly, nothing like that has ever happened to me, but I can say that when things like that do happen, then you have these choices: 1) Speak up about it and see what happens or 2) Don't say anything and let things stay the way that they are.
Here, if something like that were to happen, then people would start speaking up about it because we have a little thing called "Unions".

Well of course it is not unusual to see that there are nojealousy in the workplace. People will and most of the time will at least feel something that is not in agreement withothers especially if they are to compete with each other.
Jealousy cannot be avoided but if it gets in the way and someone devices bad plans against others... I think that makes it really bad... It usuallydoes turn out bad if you cannot be sinvere with people you work with... Even if they aremore successful than you are.

Some people are just like this, is doesn't matter that you helped them, they remain jealous. Not only because you achieved something, but also because they see you are better than them, and they can not accept it. This occurs at almost every place where people work, unfortunately.

I'd like to refer to that more as insecurity. People tend to feel envious of what you've achieved and sometimes even do things to pull you down. There's always those pictures in any workplace and the best you could do is just ignore them and not to give your full trust on anyone.
