It depends what you can get into honestly. If you didn't have a focus of marine in getting your 1st dipolma with the engineering, you are going to have some problems getting into the marine engineering program. You might need to take some prerequisites at a nearby college before being accepted. I did did prereqs for two years because my Masters is going to be in something different than what I studied for my BA. Look at the schools you want to go to, then see what options they provide for both and that will be your best bet.
