Where Would You Go?

The other day I was at my grandmothers and she asked me if I could go anywhere in the United States where would I go and why? Seems like a average enough question but once I started to think about it, it was a little harder than I thought it would be to pick just one state to go to and, why would it be that state. I told her I would have to think about it a while, it took me about two days to finally pick one state and why. I finally decided that if I were able to go to any state I would go to Florida and the reason I picked Florida is because that is where Disney World is. So I called her up and told her this and she just started laughing at me all I could do is say well it's not just for kids and have a good laugh with her about it. So if you had to pick one state in the United States to visit where would you go and why?

There are so many places I'd like to visit both in and out of the United States, so good thing you limited this to the US, lol. I absolutely LOVE Myrtle Beach but I've already been there so no need to go back again. I just recently got back from a trip to Tennessee which was just fabulous. (I'm in Canada by the way). I want to go to Florida but not to go to Disneyland, but too scope out vacations spots for when I retire. I think right now, assuming that money is no object, I'd have to say Hawaii. I've always wanted to go to Hawaii.

Oh yea Hawaii would be a great place to go to as well! I would go and enjoy doing anything there as long as it didn't take me deep out into the waters though lol, I have a huge fear of large bodies of water...that's what I chose to stay on the main land haha. Thanks for your response Suebee!

I like vacations where there is a beach although I try to find shade if there is any on the beach. I had some skin cancer removed surgically about a year ago so am careful in the sun now. However I think there would be so much else to do in Hawaii besides lie on the beach all day. Hawaii just seems like such a romantic place to go.

Wow!! That would be a hard one as there are a lot of states I would Love to go too if I had the time, and money. Many of these would be for much different reasons as well. It would also depend on what the occasion is and if I had a lot of time to spend there as well. 2 places I would Love to go is Boston Massachuttes as I have always wanted to go there and attend a Red Sox game, and the other would have to be Nashville Tennesee. But to be able to travel is a pleasure and an adventure for sure.

If I could go anywhere in the USA, I know that I would have to pick New York City every time. I went there back in 2006, and had what was then the best week of my life. I don't know what it is about being there, but I just really loved the way that they lived and the way that they went about things in their every day lives. I would love to be able to go back there and taste the life that they live just like I did six years ago. I am saving up for my plane ticket and I am hoping to spend around a month there at some point in the near future.

I think I would go to New York but probably only long enough to see a broadway play and then be headed somewhere else. I don't think I would blend well in that type of environment. I wish you the best of luck with your trip and thanks for your response GemmaR!

I've had the opportunity to visit quite a few states east of the Mississippi, but I really haven't had a lot of opportunity to visit states that are west of the Mississippi (the two that I can think of that I've been to are Texas and Arizona). So, I know that the state that I would choose to visit would be west of the Mississippi.
I've always wanted to go to Washington state so I think that is what I would choose. The reason is that I would like to be able to visit the national parks and the redwood forests and such.

Washington state is beautiful I hope that you are able to visit there someday! I went as a kid, we had family up there then. We didn't go to the national forests but we did see the space needle it was a great experience! I wouldn't mind going back and seeing more of the state now that I'm older and have kids of my own. Thanks for your response dorannmwin!

I think that would be easy decision for me... I would probably go to California and see if I had a chance to become a celebrity, haha!

I have been to the USA three times so far in my lifetime. I liked visiting California and Hawaii very much indeed. If I had the chance of a flight to America I would choose the destination to be Miami. I would be able to see that lovely and interesting city, then go and spend time on one of Florida's beaches and finally take my kids to Disney World. My disabled son is four years old and my daughter is two years old. I visited Disneyland in California when I was 20 years old. Yes, it is great for grown ups as well as kids.
