Hey again :)
When you go on to a search engine and type in something you want to look for, you usually type in a key word or phrase to get a general list of results. Keywords push a webpage up towards the top of the search page - the less keywords you have and the weaker the keyword density, the lower your search result will be. The more keywords you have and the stronger the keyword density, a webpage will be pushed up the ranking - the higher up the list the result will be. Web page owners manage this by using keywords in their pages - the more there is, the more likely it will pop up in someone's search results. However, use too many and plague the article with them then the search engine will catch you out and see you as a bit of a cheater, or spam, and push you straight back down the rankings. I hope this makes sense, I've tried to explain it in its very basic terms.

Yes - in the most simple form. I read one website when I did my SEO training that said a web page should not have a keyword density higher than 10%. There are keyword analysis tools out there that you can submit your text in to and it will tell you how you've done.

I am glad that you have found some help through mylot with your book! Keywords, are words that focus on your book in its entirety. For example, in Tom Sawyer, the character's main words consisted of 'bad' words...but it was who this person was. Every character needs a characteristic that helps them make them who they are that is seen throughout the story. Does one of your characters have a limp? If so, you must explain and use it all the way through the story, so the full character is developed.
