I get Netflix and afew days ago The Help came up on my queque. I have been waiting to see it because reviews said it was funny. It sure was. It was set in the 60's in Mississippi. It told the story of women of color and how degrading and horrible their lives were. Funny in spots, one those films like I like to see. Makes you laugh, applaude, cry, and ends giving you a good feeling. This one sure did it for me. I would tell you that if you enjoy good movies this is one to see. Have you seen it? Do you know anything about the lives of women of color back then? Your thoughts. Thanks.

I am under contract too but also have Netflix. I am just too much of a storyline freak. Being a writer storylines in movies intrigue me. If I start watching one in the middle and it is good or interesting atleast I have to see the whole thing. Netflix helps me out here. I have high speed internet too. I know the ' there are a million channels and still not a blame thing on' feeling too. Another star in Netflix's cap. Late at night I have a Netflix movie to watch. Happy Days!!

No..I am under contract with my cable company and am too tight to get anything else that had movies. I actually had Netflix once and for some reason couldn't get the movies to play out on my computer. I have highspeed internet and they couldn't figure it out and neither could I. I didn't have the means to stream it them but I do now. I have actually thought about it...it's not that expensive really and I would probably get more use out of it than the stinking cable. Sometimes there are a million channels and still not a blame thing on.

It really is worth it. And informative as to how life was like then.

Funny in parts but oh so sad too. I have not seen the movie but recently read the book and it was marvellous - and yes - I am told that it was very true. Thank God that things have changed.

Oh, I certainly believe it was true. And sad to be sure. I love movies like this one. Teachs us something very deep about human nature. Notice how some of the people were good hearted. Gives us hope. I can not even imagine going through what these women did.

I absolutely loved this movie. Eventhough I got a little grossed out and I'm sure you know what I'm referring too, still I laughed so hard at it, cried, etc. I think this movie could sometimes be used to show what in a sense bullying was in those days simply because of ignorance and people feeling self-righteous towards other races especially blacks, financial status, etc. I would recommend this movie to anyone, and hoping to read the book sometime.

It was great wasn't it? And grossed out for good reason I think. Ignorance. I would enjoy reading the book as well.
