I do want to have white skin that is why i like whitening products. I look better when I have white skin so I always put whitening lotion and use whitening soap. I want to try to take pills to whiten skin like the glutathione thing but it scares me. I might suffer from side effects from it but I am willing to give it a try. Some of my friends get some injects but it scares me more. For now, I am satisfied with my whitening products. do you you like whitening products?

Hi tess! I could probably say I am a big fan of whitening products. It started when I started college. I had the freedom to use it. My mom never allowed us to use any whitening products because she says it damages your skin. But, I did otherwise. Even if I'm already an adult, my mom still prohibits me from using any of them. I secretly use it and I make sure that she doesn't see any of it.

I think you should listen to your mom.

Why do you want to have lighter skin? You are beautiful just the way you are, skin colour included. I find it funny that white-skinned people lay out in the sun, go to tanning spas and put lotions on to make themselves darker and darker-skinned people want to look whiter. Maybe it's because we just want something different than what we have? It's the same as people with curly hair using hair straightners and people with straight hair getting perms and using curling irons. It's hard to improve upon nature though so why not just let your natural beauty shine through?

Yeah, it's kinda strange. LOL! I even tried my hair permed. I don't know but whiter skin looks better than dark skin. Ah, don't get me wrong. I look ugly when I'm burned.LOL!

I agree with you, Suebee. I feel it is best for people to love themselves as they are. It's not an easy thing to do, especially if you were criticised by family and/r friends. I have friends that want to change this and that, to a point where it did not matter to them if it had side effects. Tess, from your photo, you look pretty and your skin colour is just fine. I suggest you research on the products first, before you try them.

I'm not really a fan of them because I already have fair skin. I do have friends who are desperate to reach my skin tone and they have tried a lot of products, including the injectables and the pills. They do work really. But they cost fortunes and would only work on continuous use. Which means, if they stop using the particular product, they go back to their real color. I think it's futile to be living that way. What I would recommend is that you keep your true color and focus more on the skin care side. Pale white skin which is obviously from products don't do well with other features as compared to natural looking skin that's glowing because it's healthy. Further, never under estimate the power of the sunblock. hehe.. Have a great MyLot experience ahead!

sunblock! Absolutely important. It's summer and the heat of the sun is too cruel. Though sunblock is a bit expensive but it is a must since it cause aging. I don't want to have wrinkles at a young age. hehe

Hi tess, mostly Filipinos want to have a whiter skin that's why there are many whitening products in the market. I like to have a whiter skin too but the prob is, I am allergic to any whitening products like lotion. I was using a whitening lotion before, but I had many weird looking rashes all over my body and I spent big money at my dermatologist. So, after that I never tried using any whitening products anymore. Glutathione is good for us as long you only take 1 capsule a day, but it won't make your skin white because you need to take atleast 3 to 4 capsules a day to whiten your skin because the side effect of glutathion is will make your skin white. I have some friends who are using inject-able glutathione and one of my friends cannot stop from using it because everytime she stopped using it, she will get many pimples on her face. I think, it is just better for you to just use whitening soaps and lotion than using glutathione capsule or inject-able because glutathione is expensive. hehehehhehe

It is really expensive. I heard you have to keep taking it in order to maintain the white skin tone. That is why I stick only to lotion and soaps. I just have to be me. LOL!

Yes I love whitening products too. But in using whitening products it takes a long time, effort to accomplish the most result that what we wanted. Selecting the right product is also a factor. Because there are so many copycat product that sell in the market that is not equally effective.

Everyone I know wants whiter skin so yeah I want whiter skin too. I have the belief that I look better in it too. And Filipinos with whiter skin usually get a lot of compliments so no doubt that most Filipinos want whiter skin. I want gluta injects too but I'm scared of the side effects.

Many women are really obsessed with the whitening products that the cosmetic industry has certainly grown out of bounds. We have hundreds of whitening products on the market with different enticements. I used to buy the soap and lotion including the moisturizers for the face that will purportedly result to a fairer complexion. Now, I have returned to my normal soap and lotion and have lost my desire for those whitening products. My friend who is in UK is telling me that many women spend a lot of bucks just to have the tanned skin in the tanning salons. My friend is what we call a morena and she is the envy of all her friends and co-employees. Her skin color is really a hit. I just do my best to keep my skin smooth and I have lost all my insecurities on my brown complexion. I am really in fear of side effects so, the glutathione is definitely a no-no. I have never tried it even during those days when I was wishing for a fairer skin. Just don't go under the sun and if you have no alternative, bring an umbrella.

I suggest you try mosbeau products its very effective but its also expensive. I tried taking glutathione capsules before, then I stopped because I'm having a hard time swallowing it, it feels like its stuck on my throat every time I take one. I never tried having gluta injections, it's kinda scary. But I see a lot of my friends having good skin out of that. I don't really use whitening products now, what I do is go to the sauna or have a body scrub. This way my skin rejuvenates naturally.

I wouldn't try to use them, you never know how much they will effect you way down the road and you could get some awful kind of side effect. The people you know should just accept you for who you are and not have to worry about the color of your skin. I think your skin colour is amazing.

You have to be really careful with whitening products that you have to take in to your system, as a capsule, or injectable. It would be best to consult a dermatologist about it. They would check your skin type, and do some screening on possible side effects that you could get. Please don't rush in to taking any higher form of whitening products without proper consultation.
