Yesterday, I received a message confirming that I passed the Psychological and IQ Test for Faculty of a certain school. Yes I'll soon be a teacher. ha ha ha...
After I obtained my license, I did want to teach, but they said, it's best if I first be in the field, and practice my profession, that if I have an experience how it is in the field, I'd be able to share something to my students when I teach.
3 years have passed and I've stayed in the practice of my profession, when a friend of mine invited me to apply in a school needing some professors. I submitted my docs, took the exams required and I am on for a TEACHING DEMO? Wahaha, now I've got butterflies in my stomach. lol.
But still, the excitement is there. Now, I'd be able to do what I love to do, TEACH.haha I know it would be another great challenge. But I'm hoping for the best!haha
HAve you guys been in academe? How is it?

I have been with the academe. It's relatively paid low and the excitement is temporary. But the satisfaction that you've shared your knowledge is priceless.
If I were you, I'd go for part time. Still practice your field at the same time teach part time so that you wouldn't mind the pay in that place
Good luck and have a great Mylot experience ahead!

For most professors who left the academe, majority of them had an issue with the pay. Yes, relatively, LOW. I did consider that factor, and yeah, I am going part time. I still practice my profession, while teaching. So I guess this is it.ha ha ha. really excited!
I hope, I'd do well in the demo. thanks!

If you want to earn good money, don't become a teacher! Wherever you live in the world, teaching is a very low-paid job. No-one considers the dedication teachers put into their careers. If you don't love teaching, don't go into it!
I wish you all the best if you do go into the profession!

Thank you for that piece of advice my friend. :) yeah academe is really not something that would give you the pecuniary compensation but the reward of altruism is great.

I've never been in academia and I honestly don't think that I could ever see myself teaching on a college level. However, since I've been at home with my children for the past five years, I've done a lot of self reflection and I've pretty much come to the conclusion that I would like to go back to school next year after my son starts school and get licensed to teach early childhood education. It is something that I believe that I will be good at and it will also be something that will allow me to be home with my children during their school breaks.

Nice, good luck on the demo. Sometimes we need to deviate from what we usually do to lit the fire of passion again in our life. To appreciate and remember why we took that path. I think being a teacher is so noble. We all were student once and we are who we are today because of the lessons we have learned from our teachers. whether we like it or not a part of our teachers teachings are infused in us.

Congrats you"ve got what you really want in your life. I know it’s hard from the start, but if you are dedicated you can achieve it. Just follow your hearts what you really want to be. Take it one at a time just to be sure that you are in the right path of your dreams. I know you can make it have faith and trust in yourself
