Ok, I'm totally NOT complaining...I'm NOT. Let me just say that I sortof have this fascination for a few people here on myLot. It could be the way that they respond to things, it could be the HUGE number that is beside their name, while the number that is next to my name is only up to a little over 100 so far.
At any rate, I wrote a response to someone here on myLot, it took me a long time too, to write it. I was very excited because this guys' responses oft times thrill me. He sometimes says really witty things...I have the urge to possibly call him "daddy". HEY, don't JUDGE me, I said I have the URGE to call him "daddy", I didn't say I was gonna DO it!!
Anyway, so I write to him, press submit, and my computer went to a totally different screen that had absolutely nothing at ALL to do with the discussion that I had just commented on! The horror!! I'm putting this out there, he often comments on things that are in the "myLOt interest group". Wondering if perhaps he will stop on by THIS discussion and leave ME a message. It is all so very exciting...let's see what happens!

You have an urge to call him 'daddy'?
I have an urge to advise you to shout out 'baaaaaaaaa'
and he might get here sooner

ROTFLMAO! I could give a suggestion as to how to get him here even faster than those two ways, but I would have to know HomeBase a little bit better before suggesting such a thing!

This has sometimes (but only very occasionally) happened to me. On one occasion I was posting to a discussion which was deleted whilst I was posting to it. As a result, my post had nowhere to go, MyLot gave a fart and sent me to the MyLot Home page. (I had to use the Back button to discover that the discussion no longer existed). I whistled a few bars of "Little Orphan Annie" and just got on with my life. A while later the same thing happened and I went back only to find the discussion sitting there smiling at me (and WITHOUT my response). Duh!
Now and then I have written something and back comes the discussion with NO responses at all, let alone mine! More often, I just get a completely blank screen and know that the MyLot server was slow and just screwed up on me. Very often pressing Refresh (NOT the Back button) will sort things out ... but not always.

I know, its a bummer when it happens. It used to be a regular 'feature' at certain times of the day and those of us who could, sometimes had the forethought to copy the post before sending it. Then, if we lost it, we could just paste it in and try again. Unfortunately, you wouldn't be able to do that yet.

This is the first time that this has happened to me, so, like I said, I'm really NOT complaining, it's just that I put a lot of WORK into that response, only to have it vanish into thin air!
I had written my response, which was quite long, but that is nothing new because my writing always seems to lean towards "the lengthy" due to my love of words and my addiction to coffee...those two LOVE to get together. I finished writing, and pressed "post comment", AAAAND, it went to the myLot sign in page. All that writing gone, vanished! I tried the refresh button, but to no avail.

@owlwings...yes, I was really bummed when it happened, but I considered it a sign that perhaps I was not supposed to write the things that I did. I am no quitter, so I WILL try again. I'm very new to myLot, so I'm just learning my way around this nice little neighborhood here. But, as I already said, this was the first time that something like this has ever happened to me.
@Forever_The_Lamb...yes, somehow I got logged out. Everything is working fine now. When I sign out today, prior to logging back in, I'll try deleting all the cookies.

Well, from time to time, I think all of us have experienced or seen a Glitch with the myLot system here. It is just so natural for us. Let's hope that the response did go thru and you have a response back to this discussion as well.

There are quite a few people that I really enjoy interacting with on here, and I always get a little excited when I noticed that they have left a comment or response for me. Of course, I have never called any of them "daddy" ... or at least not that I am admitting to here ... but hey, I am not judging.

To tell you the truth, I think that calling them "daddy" would probably be considered mild when compared to the fact that some of them are animals or cartoon characters or cartoon animals, etc., but then again cross-species interaction is not illegal as long as I am a flower with a lamb and not a human with a lamb or some other equally taboo combination.

This sometimes happens to me but I just use the back button to retrieve the novel response I have written.
