Bayern Munich to end the "jinx"

There are two outstanding "jinx" in the Champions League that have yet to be broken. One, no team has successfully defended their title. With Chelsea knocking Barcelona out in the semi finals, this jinx will continue for another season. The second jinx, no team has won the title on their home ground. With the final being held in Allianz Stadium, home of Bayern Munich, Bayern Munich could be the first team to do it since the introduction of Champions League. Either way, record books will be rewritten. A victory for Bayern Munich and they will be the first team to do it on their home ground. For Chelsea, it will be their first Champions League trophy. Which way will it be written? My guess, home ground.

I also hope that Bayern will lift the trophy in their own ground and I guess it would be a deserved win. Firstly, because they were good during the whole competition, especially at home, and secondly, because they are a self-made team, which has no debts and they have built this team from their own power, not with the help of money fallen from the sky, like Chelsea did. It is much easier to have a strong team when you have unlimited funds, and very hard to have a competitive team to keep up with teams which were artificially empowered. And Real and Barcelona are almost in the same boat as Chelsea, with the difference that they are allowed to play the European competitions having hundreds of millions of Euros debt. It is funny that Mallorca, which had a lot less debt was not allowed to start in the Europa League two years ago, and this teams are allowed every year.
Because of this reasons, Bayern would be a more than meritorious champion.

Bayern can still win the German Cup, but the importance of it cannot be measured with the importance of the Champions League. And to add to its importance, the final will be played in Munchen, so it would be a magical night, if Bayern will win it.

Since Munich has an outstanding track record of 13 wins, 1 draw and 2 losses, they have a big chance of winning in their home ground, ending the jinx and making them the third team to win a European cup final in their home ground. Although a lot of critics see this as an unfair advantage, it is still up to Bayern Munich to step up to the challenge. It might even be a double-edge sword if they become too comfortable with it and let the situation get to their heads.

That is because no team has managed to play the Champions League final on their home ground. Bayern Munich is the first team to play the finals on their home ground. So they will definitely want to make this count.
I would prefer them to win than Chelsea!!
Cheers!

Home ground is the favorite now. With so many players suspended, Chelsea could not field their best 11 in the final. Bayern Munich may have the home ground advantage and the crowd behind them in the final, but Chelsea is a different team now. Chelsea is a united team after the 2 legs of the semi-final. The two semi-finals were full of dramas and we may still see that in the final. Chelsea is still the team for me to win the European Cup.
