My Niece is only 5 years old, she has been collecting books since she was only 3 years old until now, Everytime we went to a Bookstore she grabbed us to accompany her to look for a book and even at that and this time she knows her taste and interest already. How about you guys have you notice your nieces, nephews and kids interest?

I have two nephews and the older one seems to be a book lover too. I encouraged him to read and every time we go out, I spoil him with more books to read. His younger brother are more on the dance and sports activities, I still support him but I sometimes persuade him to like books too.

I have a three year old nephew and although he isn't that good in reading yet I notice that he is interested with books. I have been giving him books every now and then and he is really into it. For now, he enjoys looking at those colorful illustrations and he wants his mother to read his books to him every night.
I think it is important that at such an early age, kids must be exposed to reading because there would be a big chance of adapting the love for books as they aged. I started appreciating books when I was seven and up to now, I'd rather read books than spend time watching television.
