How do you see the future cars?

For most people, the most basic means of transportation is using your own car. Most people take pride in having bought the latest types of cars available in variety of car brands to choose from. In some of the newest cars, we can see functions that are ahead in technology than older version cars. For example, there are now cars that are electric cars and there are cars that could take you to your destination without ever sitting in the driver's seat ( I heard about this from someone, and I'm not sure if it's remote control or computer programmed but my friend assured me they exist ). Now my question is, how do you find cars of the future and their features? Let's say about 20 years from now, how could the car technology have developed more in your own imagination?

In 20 years, i bet cars would be so fast, and if oil would be very very scarce- most cars would be powered by electricity or battery..or even water. In 100 years maybe, some cars would fly..and there'll be roads in the air, lie in Star Wars.

Speaking about cars that fly, I just watched the news yesterday on tv and saw that someone had invented a flying car already where it can run on land and at the same time fly if they want to...it is amazing to watch! The flying ability is similar to that of a helicopter wherein the elesies on top of the car would suddenly spread out, probably after a touch of a button, and then the elessies would rotate fast and there goes the car up in the air! I was amazed that the one introducing this car said that the control was fantastic and the danger is minimal. I would want to search on this more...thanks for reminding me :D

I saw it in youtube today and it is called PAL-V. I don't think it's safe to use and it might cause some terrible accidents due to it's propeller. Anyway PAL-V stands for Personal Air and Land Vehicle. It runs fast on land similar to how fast sports cars run. It's very interesting to see how it runs and fly and they are planning to market it, I believe. I'm not sure if it's a good idea, and I don't see it as a regular vehicle for common people. I think it would be better used like a common air transport like a helicopter and should not be on the road and then while on the road would allow it to be flown...I felt a lot of danger can be caused with other similar vehicles trying to fly to avoid traffic. But still it's possible they can develop a certain road & traffic rules for it though.

they still wont fly and they still wont use clean fuel because the oil industry is a bunch of greedy jerks and they will sabotage any inventor of clean fuel cars such as Hydropowered cars and solar powered cars. that is how thing goes for now. I know that sounds negative but remember those 80's movies they predicted clean fuels and flying cars will be a norm by year 2000 but what year it is now? Oil industry controls this planet, sadly...

I understand your point. Anyway, isn't some solar powered cars running nowadays in some places? I'm not sure, but I think I remembered seeing it on tv before so I imagined if they show it on tv it might mean some people might be mass-producing those cars already. I understand your doubts about the possibility of clean fuels being used. I even heard there i a way that water can be used to run cars and that the government and oil companies did all they can to stop the inventors from letting this out. I don't know if this is true either. Anyway, I sometimes search 'future cars' in youtube and can really see fantastic looking cars and unbelievable functions. I saw one car for example that is only two-wheeler and it's balance is maintained due to some computerized system that I don't understand. It looks like a combination of a car and a motorcycle, and it will never fall down even with only two wheels due to it's futuristic computerized balancing system which I don't know anything about and how they work. I would love to have that in the future if possible :)

there had been attempts to mass produce those eco friendly cars but oil companies and governments stops them, then governments make them too expensive for the middle class to afford.

Oh I definately believe that we will not have to drive in any of our cars about 20 years into the future..they will drive for us. And yes, they do exist, actually a blind person took their first 'drive' in a car like this a couple months ago. Already most cars now are being equipped with safety features of putting you back on the road if you fall asleep, stopping the car in a fast break if you don't do it soon enough...etc. Hopefully, it will lead to more saved lives, than lost ones in car accidents.
