How long did you breastfeed?

Just a question for the mummies, mums, mommies, moms, mammas and mothers out there! I have a 4 and a half month old and am still breastfeeding her. People are very quick to judge on this topic but I have to say that breastfeeding was far harder than I expected, especially at first. I think because it's natural people assume it's easy but it's really not and you can't imagine how hard it is until you have children! But it's now started to get easer and I am starting to enjoy the convenience of breastfeeding as well as the bonding it gives us and I would reccomend breastfeeding to new mums if they can do it, with the warning that it does get easier with time! So, just wondering what other mothers' experiences were, how long they breastfed, any tips, regrets, and if they would recommend breastfeeding? :)
