Any reading suggestions?

I've never liked reading fantasy before because their terms and the places in the universe usually confuses me, but this series that a good friend of mine recommended to me had really hooked me up. It was a mixture of fantasy, mythology and action occurring in the modern world. Merry Gentry series by Laurell K. Hamilton are really awesome. :D

I'm a big fantasy fan myself and some of my favorite books are the Books of Pellinor by Alison Crogon, the Heir Trilogy by Cinda Williams Chima, the Circle Trilogy by Ted Dekker, The Last Unicorn by Peter S. Beagle, The Dragons in our Midst and Oracles of Fire series by Bryan Davis, the Unicorn Chronicles by Bruce Coville, and the Legend of the Guardian-King series by Karen Hancock. To name a number you probably haven't heard of before. To name some great favorites of mine you probably have heard of already, I absolutely love the Chronicles of Narnia by C.S. Lewis, the Lord of the Rings by J.R.R. Tolkien, and the Hunger Games by Susan Collins.

I haven't read them yet but I've been hearing a lot about The Hunger games series. I believe there are three books all together in the series. The last one I read was the Twilight series. I loved reading them. I couldn't put them down. I read each book in two days!

Kickshaw Candies by R.K. Finnell. It's a fantasy/horror based on Irish folklore. It is available on amazon UK. I know on kindle, but I'm sure you could get it in print too.

A good fantasy book that I liked was 'The Phantom Toll Booth'. Don't remember the author, but the book has a picture of a dog on the front with a pocketwatch. I also like fantasy books, suspense, and mystery!

I enjoyed reading Game of Thrones a lot. Have you read it? I don't read a lot of fantasy books. As for thriller, I read a book by Tess Gerritsen called The Surgeon. I enjoyed it a lot, although it's quite gruesome. Currently, I'm reading Handle With Care by Jodi Picoult - a very good book about osteogenesis imperfecta, it's fiction but the author did a good job on research. I'm almost done and I've cried several times.
