Hi myLotters, Do you agree that girls with fair skin are prettier? For me, I don't think so, yet my girl fiend think so. She always wants to look fairer, and she tried a lot of whitening products. Well, she keeps doing so even I told her that she's pretty enough. I feel that those whitening products are no so safe, might contains some hazardous chemicals and worse, might bring side effects. Do you know any natural ways to make skin fairer?

I think she needs to get comfortable in her own skin and give up this trying to whiten her skin. If she is not fair, she has another complexion. We are not all meant to be fair skinned. It doesn't make you more beautiful to have fair colored skin. Beauty comes from within. If she believes she is beautiful she will be beautiful.

H i Lucas you are right she is pretty just as she is she needs to feel pretty and making her skin an unnatural color with chemicals could also make her very ill. I think brown skinned women are beautiful and white skinned women are beautiful and red skinned women are beautiful too.The whitening agents re ally are not safe she needs to learn to love herself as she really is. tropical countries make people have brown skins for a reason to protect againsst the suns rays.We are all beautiful in our own ways as we are all unique.I know of no natural ways to whiten skin at all./

Some dark skin people are trying to get light because they think its so great. Mean while fair skinned are always being told by everyone to "GET A TAN!" and if your especially white you might have the lovely nick name "Casper". Yeah sooo wonderful. S this is a matter of opinion. Neither skin is prettier than the other. That's just own my opinion. As for natural lighteners I've heard of using fresh juice from a lemon, but it probably doesn't work. I do know that exfoliating the skin every other day or once a week at the least makes it have a lighter appearance. Also acne can make it seem darker than it would be normally.

OMG! These cosmetics are very very dangerous. They produce adverse effects most of the times. Very risky practice!! Let her know how much you lover her... make her realize how beautiful she is, to your eyes.... That's the only way! You have to open your heart and express how you feel about her. You can also try searching some videos in youtube that brief about human psychology regarding beauties. Here is a small fact - beauty varies from person to person. It is not a generic factor where a particular complexion, structure or shape is universally beautiful. Beauty depends on the eyes of the observer. It is different for different people. If you see, what you want subconsciously, then you'll start loving it. Those videos can help you to a greater extent, i believe. If she still wants to change her complexion, then there are some natural ways: 1.apply the milk-fat (a layer which you see on top of milk)on face, rest for sometime and wash 2. apply sandal powder on your face, rest for sometime and wash 3. apply the skin of citric fruits like orange on your face, rest and then wash

i forgot to add a small observation of mine.. Have you ever observed that people who look charming, pretty are not so anymore, once they change themselves? May be you can make your girl friend try that. keenly observe some person whom you think is pretty. Then after some time, imagine the same person with different hairstyle - say if he has curly hair, straighten it in your imagination; complexion, facial features(like small nose instead of his big nose or some thing like that) etc.. Now you'll find him less charming as before!! God(if you believe in him. Otherwise take it as Nature) has created each and every single life on this planet with a reason... with a purpose.... If you try to change it, you loose your identity!! Hope my words are useful! Happy Mylotting

It doesn't matter what colour your skin is. Some people may have a preference as to what they like or are attracted to regarding skin colour the same as one might be attracted to blond hair and blue eyes and another to red hair and green eyes. Whatever the case may be, we are all beautiful in our own way and shouldn't try to change to conform to someone else's definition of what pretty is.

I think it actually depends where your area is. For most Caucasians, they would prefer to have a tanned skin over a white or fair skin. It's because it could mean that they have a lot of time to go just about enjoying the beach or be on vacation. It's like it reflects your "social status". However for women who would prefer having a fair skin, some would explain it by saying that it's not the usually skin color in their area or because of what is called "colonial mentality". Humans are so fond of becoming what they are not. To wit, some women born with curly hair prefer them straight, some who are born blonde would have their hair colored black and those with black hair blonde. Anyway, should your girlfriend really want to have a fair skin just support her. But make sure to suggest safe and natural ways to do it. Let her try papaya soaps or lemon juice mixed with yoghurt. And don't forget to use an SPF 30 sunblock.

Oh boy seriously ever color is beautiful. I dont think any color is more beautiful then another. I have very pale skin and I love to see the color people have who are tanned or naturally tan color but I would never bother increasing my risk of cancer by tanning or trying to whiten my skin more. I seriously dont think I could get any whiter anyway lol.

Fair skin do be prettier especially for everyone not only young girl. But i also think it is unsafe trying to be fair by using whitening products. As we can't know how the products are made and don't know the hidden function of some chemicals . Although some chemicals are good in whitening one's skin, they probably have a bad effect on one's health in the long run.

Health is more important than beauty - Too pretty maybe too troublesome.
I guess it depends on your culture which color they favour, i guess the lighter skin tone is the preferable , maybe lighter skin allows more body features to be seen rather than dark skin. Skin bleacher are dangerous , some use Pdf sun blocker in some creams that are put daily to reduce or ligthen the skin color. But discoloration may occur when color skin is different in neck line, bikini line, underwear line and such.

I agree that women look attractive or prettier if they had fair skin. That is why most people now a days is using whitening cream or lotion just to be fair.I also asked my male friends that they prefer women who had fair skin because they look more attractive, neat and presentable.

I don't understand why someone would want to drastically change their appearance like that. But where I live, most people want to be tan, not fair-skinned. I mean, it's one thing to either spend more or less time in the sun, to become more tan or more fair... but I wouldn't want to use chemicals to change my skin color. I agree with you; that stuff is hazardous. I haven't worn makeup in a few years, and my skin has cleared up considerably! :)

Hello friend, I think the natural skin is prettier. I like the natural skin of girls and boys also. So I like it. I am a girl. And I don't use the make-up in everytime. I like the natural skin of my also. What do you think my friend? Have a nice day.

i dont agree with that. beauty does not settle on how fair your skin is. you just got to be contented with what you have and just be yourself. handle it with grace and confidence and im sure everybody will also envy the kind of skin you have. just be confident! it will not do you any harm.

Well, i don't know about your friend, but i do know that if the girl are pretty, no matter what skin color she has it doesn't matter. But yes, fair skin are usually cute for in guys eyes. As a guy myself, i would say i like girls with fair skin and that is why chinese/korean/japan girls are popular as their cuteness everywhere. And i would say to try and stop your friend from being too obsessed with it since what you say are actually right. Trying to force skin to be fair is sometimes hazardous with nowadays cosmetics products that basically acts like sandpaper. In long term may result in bad news.

why would you want to mess with the colour of your skin? didn't Beyonce (who is African American) just win as America's Prettiest woman? work on your personality, not your skin colour!

The only natural way I know to make yourself fairer-skinned is to hide from the sun for a year. I've also heard that lemon juice is a natural skin-lightener. I've tried it with very little luck though. I also tend to think of fair skin as prettier, like albino fair. I think albinos are beautiful. I've often wished at times that I could make my skin fairer and I absolutely hate it when I tan. I always wear sunscreen outside, since going outside is kind of unavoidable. Plus I don't really want to hide from the sun.

There is no sure way to say whether fair skinned women look better than the brown skinned because I can pin point women who are dark-skinned but are very beautiful and a sight for sore-eyes. The beauty that your friend is looking for only physical and temporary. My best advice is that she learn to love herself more. But if she really wants to go fair-skinned, I know of certain ways to help. But it will take her years if you wish her to stay healthy and safe. You are correct in your assumption that certain whitening beauty products have bad side effects with them because of being synthetic and unnatural. The key here is "natural"--stay natural. So find products from herbs or natural supplements that cleans the liver or provides the basic components to make our body produce glutathione. Take note: mammals are the only ones who can produce glutathione. We just need the materials to make our glands produce this chemical compound. So your friend will have to drink those good for the body natural supplements. In herbs, milk thistle is the best that I know that can clean the liver at the same time make one fairer skinned. So what is the connection between a person's liver and his color? Well, the cleaner your liver is, the more glutathione you produce, the healthier you will be, and the fairer looking skinned (a.k.a. shining) you will have. So far that's the logic I know about the human body. "Love nature and nature will take care of you." Hope this helps and Happy MyLotting!

hi there, i love my skin color, i am tan and i am proud of it there are a lot of whitening products in the market and i also have a lot of friends using them but i tell them i am not trying to please anybody. my boyfriend loves my skin color and so do my friends and also his friends. i think she should go for like fruits rich in vitamin C because they are known to lighten the skin rather than apply those creams that can cause her hyper pigmentation. also taking Vitamin C can detoxify us and so we get a little lighter by taking them.

In our country, fair skinned girls are considered pretty but on my own opinion, it depends on how the person carries herself. Now, that will make her look pretty.

Each of them are sent to the earth with enough beauty. We are god's creation so there must be beauty inside every one. I don't believe that the creams and other products don't help you to have any change on your body because most of them are made of chemicals and those chemicals my not be supported by your body. Most of the chemicals get react to the sun's infrared rays causing to many problems. So I think it is better to stay with the same you have.
