I remember Government Grants. Grants from the government. Grants for schools, house mortgages and repairs and business. Have you ever took advantage of grants before? It can actually saves you from further debts. But I'm not sure. We do sell grant assistance here for US peeps. And what's weird is everyone in the U.S. is taking advantage of it but only few are chosen. Tell me more about these grants and how it helps you produce more money.

Grants are usually given through schools from private donors. You have to do something, or be someone special to them to get the grant. Also, sometimes the grant can be given by the actual school for 'returning students'...meaning you are there for more than one year, getting good grades, and paying your way. Grants are harder to get than scholarships as a fyi.

Well I've already completed two years of college and both years I use a Pell Grant. So far I don't owe any money since my grants and scholarships have covered the cost of school and books. I even got some money back from the grants because I didn't use them all so I was able to get a laptop for school and other items I needed. I still got 2 more years of school(at least I want to go further than my Associates) and I'm hoping to use grants for those years as well because I really don't want to be in debt after graduating or I may be staying with my parents longer than I plan to. Luckily though since the university is only about 20 minutes away I can stay with my parents and save quite a bit since I don't have to live in a dorm.

I live in the United Kingdom. These days university students don't get a grant but they can get a low interest student loan. In my days I did get a grant for living expenses and the council paid for my course fees. I have a disabled son in a wheelchair. I got a disabled facilities grant to put in a ramp and a door into my bungalow for my son.

I've never gotten a grant before. I was tempted to try when I was thinking about opening my own business, but was afraid that I would be denied or would get into trouble for doing something out of the ordinary. So, I'm not sure how difficult it is to get a grant, but I've heard that it requires very specific qualifications. Which makes me believe that it's nearly impossible to take advantage of them. Then again, all I'm basing my judgements off of are hear-say, so I don't really know.
