Hi friends and lotters
...And the doctor said to the patient who had been admitted for treatment and recovery from a suicidal attempt - "You see that person on the wheelchair... he is suffering from Terminal Cancer and will live only for a few months more... but ask him and he will say - I want to Live!!... and unfortunately you are so healthy and fine yet you want to kill yourself!" - Irony of life - those who have less time want more and some who have more want it less. (Sids observation #041227-110)
We do take so many things positively... When we move out we know there is a chance to be hit by a speeding car or vehicle... but we overlook that. We also know any natural calamity can happen anytime and we can die yet we dont get to thinking and spending our time on those.
But when we are gloomy, sad... even a rain in the hot summer doesnt seem to be welcome. Strange are the ways of life! Sometimes we see everything so bright and at others the same so bright things seem to be so very dull and non-happening or even non-exciting!
I think we all do need a little more of desire and willingness to see than having mere eyes. We all should have the Light of Willingness to see things on a Positive Note.
Your Take on my not-so acclaimed and self taught theory?
have a great rocking day dear people
Cheers.
theSids.

hi thesids,
It is very hard to accept the realities of life and as an old saying goes ‘life is not a bed of roses’. When we are sad or gloomy we only think about ourselves and feel that our problem is great and get panicked as how to handle.
As jai has rightly said, greed makes men blind and forgets to enjoy the little happiness of life. Ending life is no solution for problems.
Accidents or natural calamities are not in our hands so the moment I am out from my house, I think of god as well when I am back home safely, I thank god.
I too have faced too much hurdles in life but now I have learnt to accept life with challenges and now if I have a problem, then I look at from all sides of it and trying to resolve it in the best way as I could and so be positive…

Hi viju
Well, your thanking the Lord for almost everything is so very good. But unfortunately many of us have gone beyond the Gods and now we dont even realize that he exists.
What makes us a better human is the hardships that we all face some time or the other and then how and what we learn from it. Some learn to become humble while some become arrogant and more stressed. It is good to know that some good people like you exist who do take things as a learning for good even from the sad and hardships in life.

Your title says it all. Light is more than just photons hitting the retina of our eyes. And our eyes do not even pick up the entire spectrum of light.
There is so much more to life than what our senses perceive. We need to seek that which is not so obvious.
Jesus said; 'I am the way, the truth, and the light.'
He makes the path clear, he shows us what is beyond our senses. He reveals what we cannot see with our eyes alone.

Well this also cross my mind my dear Sids,
often times people get toooo occupied with what is going on with their own lives that they think what they are going through is the worst. Sometimes, i am guilty of this. I would sulk and act as if my problems are the worst yet God reminds me again that it isn't.And it is true when moody even the smile of mr.sun won't make me smile!
One time i was wrong about some financial problems and a commercial on television showed the hunger and famine that is going around in some areas of the world and it made me realize how luckier we are.. that somehow we get to eat more than three times a day, we get to still eat ice cream, or eat chocolates when in fact some children have not tasted any of it. I have seen how children look like back in Somalia, all suffering from hunger and malnutrition. Even here in my country, i have seen those children happily playing with just simple kites while my children enjoys a bit expensive toys...
My dad even told me one time, he went home to his province, i gave him my children's old clothes, old shoes all can still be worn... and he came home my dad and told me how happy the children are back in the Province to have those even though they are used..
there is too much we take for granted and there is too much to be appreciated. like our life for one

Hi jazel
So my dear friend is somewhat similar to me... moody and loves chocos.
I think the materialism around us - is the sole cause of how we are living today. Humans, I guess were not born to handle so much of stress - which they are subjected to - maybe because of work or the race to be successful. if we were out of this stress for a while, I am sure many would be able to see the goodies that the life bestows us with.

I think people are always having two sides and they often forget the brighter side of things. That's what they lack most so life is not celebrated when they are in the damp. But then, amidst on those 'darkness of life,' there's always a good thing about it. We learn how to be strong, to stop and see ourself how we are coping up. Its actually an opportunity to believe more in u and in the people around u. People just need to realize that every time they have that morning to wake up, its already an opportunity to celebrate life because u r alive once again. :)

Hi aauecon
How very true. Many people stay calm and when the damp thing fades out they do find something good with that learning. I try to be in that slot most of the times as I personally do believe that life is the biggest school and quite a practical one. Though there are many days when life is stubborn and stern, yet the lessons do help us become a better human and person.

My dearest Sid, nowadays I try to see and appreciate the beauty of life no matter how harsh the world is. I want to live for my son, for my family and most especially for myself. I'm loving myself more than i did before and i am looking at the light rather than the darkness.

Hi toni
Your response here has been reflected in so many good discussions from you. I have always admired and learned reading from your discussions.
I wish I was more like you - so very positive all the times - and finding myself to love me more all the times...
Though I say that I do look at the lights rather the darkness, yet there are times I find myself weak and looking at the darker shades once a while

My dearest Sid, i'm hoping that you won't ever look at the dark shades again, however if that ever happens please don't forget to send me a message. I'll try to bring some light so you won't be groping in the dark.

There is a saying that “Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder”, but how can you see beauty if it is dark? You need light and not eyes to enjoy and celebrate life. Beauty in darkness cannot be seen and enjoyed. You need to have light and shine to enjoy it.
