Please dont bother me on Facebook...

So I have this silly group of friends who like to play games, not the Facebook games, but childish games when they are on Facebook.
I hate it when they are sending me messages and I am trying to work. I REALLY hate that blunk sound that is made when the message is sent.
I love my friends, and I dont want to block them but I dont want them to know when I am online all of the time. Yes, there are times I play too, but most of the time I am busy, and have little time for silliness.
I know that when someone is online, a little green dot appears next to their name. Does anyone know how to get this silly light turned off? Please help me guys...

We are at the same boat. I am on facebook 24/7 but I appear offline to all of my friends. The pling sound is annoying especially when I am busy. I open a lot of tabs and sometimes the facebook chat incoming message hangs the browser..

Yes, and I know that many people dont like that dumb sound. I wish they could change it or just remove it all together. But then people would say, "how will we know if someone messaged us, then". I say pay attention to the chat, if it is important enough. Anyway, have a great day, and thank you for your response...

Hello, Devilova. Yes, they do the same to me. I really hate that stupid "blunk" noise it makes when they send a message. That is even more annoying then them massing around. I do turn off my speakers, but then I think, why should I have to do this?
