What do you think about injustice?

We all know that there are a lot of injustices going on in our world. There are people who suffer injustice because of mistaken identity or bad rumors that have no truth in them. There are injustices due to other people's lack of judgement and irresponsibility by not getting to the bottom of things or at least investigating first before condemning someone. Injustices can be made intentionally or unintentionally. Have you faced some kind of injustice in your life? How did you deal it and how does the word mean to you?

I do not want an injustice be given to me or anyone was just misjudge even if he did not do it.This scenario can only happen to anyone who happens to encounter bad elements of society who are rich and just made you a criminal even if innocent.

Yes, I don't think anyone wanted injustice done to them. I think some people didn't even know their doing an injustice and even felt justified hurting others as if it's just right for them to do it. I think any kind of meanness, whether the other person deserves it or not, is not a good behavior. I believe it's a sign of weak-mindedness and lack of discernment. Well anyway, we do live in an imperfect world so that is expected to happen to others.

That is a choice we can get from rich opponents in the eyes of the court. We are over seen due to the many witness presented from the depending panels. That is the ways our justice system is working so that the poor one is convicted and the rich one is freed.

That is one instances when power and wealth are misused. Gaining such power does not give you a license to do whatever you want with no regards for others rights. Power is a privilege that should be used only for service and the good of everyone who will be under their rule.

Injustice is very prevalent in the society, equal justice is not give/done to any person on earth, shall we say its the creators fault?..no answer for this. i have seen injustice in life in many circumstances, be it in friends life, who is not given equal importance along with her brother, (this is because she is a girl child , and her parents believe that boys are the ones who take care of parents and girls will go away one day with her husband),,well i dont think like that at all, i strongly feel that girls are more responsible towards their parents, and we can see many of such examples in the present society. my friend suffer alot because of this difference in their house, she even curses her self for being born as a girl , as she dont get the love and affection from her parents , which deserves..well this is one example of injustice , which we see in our society..and there are lot more, which will fill our eyes with tears....

That is really very sad. For me, girls and boys are equal but only with different roles to play. Probably another reason why injustice exist is because of wrong ideologies of other people...like in your example about their ideology of a girls as not as important as boys and things like that. I guess these are some things we really just have to live with, and it's best to try to look always for some positive side of reality. If there are injustices going on around us, I'm sure a lot of just things are also happening in the world. When we watch the news, usually there are only sad or bad news so I think it would be good if some news would focus more on the good things that are happening around us. That could bring our focus more on something positive around us.

Well, definitely people would be inspired when they hear good news and about people that do things that deserves our respect and praise. I remember watching tv news about a college girl who returned a wallet filled with money to a person who was very grateful to the girl for returning his wallet which contains PHP 100,000. She said when she saw the money she didn't even consider keeping the money, but instead look for an identification address to return the money to the owner as soon as she got the wallet. Because of that, she received some cash reward from the owner of the wallet...and after that the government also rewarded her with some more extra cash. But what's more important is that she has become an inspiration to all the people who watched that news and has become a good model of a good character. I think those kinds of news should be more often shown on tv.

yes , you are really true. i always think about this, media, as to why they only show the bad and sad news, of course , i dont say that they are not important. But there are so many good things happening in our world , on which, they should focus. so that such news ,spreads some positive feeling among us. The people who get inspired by watching bad things and bad news may also get inspired by the good and positive news as well..hope for abetter society in the the days to come...

Injustice is something that really is flowing right through the world each and every moment of our lives. It is a rather frustrating existence rather to live in but it is one that we tend to experience. We get frustrated when we really see people who likely should get in trouble for their misdeeds, but they somehow slip right out of the grasp of justice, due to the fact that they are the ones who have the means. And then, it is really the innocent who get in trouble for the misdeeds of the wicked. It is really a bad thing but it is something that is ultimately sadly true. There are times where justice just seems to be a concept that exists only by pure definition. It is really just a bad thing but sadly, justice does not often happen. Life is very rarely something that is fair.

Yes, but for those who do injustice they should start fearing God because one day they would have to face God's court, and at that moment they don't have their money and power to back them up...but of course, mercy is always there and everyone can receive it no matter how big their sins are. I remember the other thief beside Jesus on the cross who asked Jesus to remember him, and Jesus said today you will be with me in Paradise. But the 'magic word' here is 'real repentance' for one's sins.

I think everyone has faced injustice in their life sometime- it may be favoritism, extortion...etc. it is very hard to abolish since people benefit from it...and some of them are in high positions.. Once a person gets a taste of wealth and power it is hard to let go.

I could imagine these people had an 'illusion' that they become untouchable, and I guess many of them actually think God is beside them while they do those injustice. I would rather say they are 'delusions' instead of 'illusions'.

Injustices really are awful. So many people face a variety of injustices and aren't able to get what they really deserve for the unjust treatment that they have experienced. It is sad to see these things happen more and more. I have faced injustices but nothing compared to what others have faced. So my heart goes out to those who have experienced things to a greater degree. It really does dishearten us when we face these types of actions or sayings in our life. But I try my best to overcome them and not let things bother me.

I feel you have a very good attitude about injustice from the point of view of the one who suffered from it. I also have faced some injustices in my life, and I guess most people in one way or another, big or small have also suffered injustice. I still feel lucky somehow that I haven't suffered more than others, like for example there are people who are now suffering in jail because of an injustice...I mean they were found guilty of a crime they didn't commit. Now this kind of injustice is a whole lot more difficult to bear. I think that is why forgiveness was invented...to use it in instances like that.

I agree. Anyway, for personal happiness I could suggest that it's better to forgive and forget all the injustices that others may have caused you and I find it such a freeing experience when I pretend as if nothing has ever done against me...such a light feeling it gives.

I agree with you. There are many people who have faced big incidents of injustices. We have to be thankful that we haven't been in such situations. It is sad to see so many people being treated unfairly.

Injustice can be made over any individual at any time. We must be prepared for these situations in order to keep us safe. Surely, we have all faced it at some point of our lives. The most important thing about it si to keep on living, and above all else - fighting! Life is unfair !

Very good point, honest_efforts. We need to move on and keep on living and enjoying our lives the best ways possible. It's true that there are times that life is unfair, but we should also remember that there is the other side of the coin if we only use our full senses to look more at the blessings in our lives. And maybe if we focus more on our blessings, someday those sad memories of injustice will be drowned by our attitude of contentment and joy :)

I do not like injustice. Injustice can depress people and cause a lot of social problems. Here in China, as injustice becomes a common thing, many young people do not get what they should have in their age, and many people hate the country and do not want to do anything for it.

Honestly, I didn't realize China's youth have those kinds of issues nowadays because as I can see China is such a progressive country. I didn't exactly understand what you meant when you said 'many young people do not get what they should have in their age'...does it have something to do with their rights? I also don't know why the people hate their country in China...Are the Chinese leaders the cause of these problems?

The fact that injustice is happening in many places is really saddening...although we can try to probably try to dismiss them in our minds and try to see the good things happening in our surroundings. At least all of us are aware that such things happens, and this might be a good way to avoid such things happening in our lives, and if they can't be prevented then at least we would have better clues as to how to face such difficult moments.

Yes I have many times. Doctors messed up a lot, I lost my house because of that, a bank tried to ruin me, so did a (by now ex) friend and today my dentist who made a big mistake kicked me out instead of admitting it. I always took a lawyer and fought it, no matter how long it took. Once a lawyer said to me: give up on it, there is a big difference between being right and getting your right. I think this already says enough. No matter if you are right the richest people/organisations will win anyway.

Oh I'm so sorry to hear about what happened to you. I don't have a first hand knowledge of the things that happened to you, but I really hope everything would be resolved the best way possible. I also hope you make all the right decisions given the situation. I always believe there's always hope in any kind of circumstance...and I believe your case is no exception and the many others who likewise experienced such things.

Yes, I agree that injustice can be caused by being so greedy and selfish. Sometimes injustice can also be caused by rash judgement. I think it's important to always have real concern for others and if we find something wrong with them, kindness would still be the right guide by for example praying for that person to change if you feel he has done bad things. The problem is sometimes people act because of the rumors they hear...as if those rumors are already reality, and they throw terrible criticisms on that person. That's another example of injustice. Do you know other types, and what are your opinions about the offenders and the offended?

I think what you said is a good rule to follow. There's a saying in law that you don't judge a person guilty until he's found guilty in court. That person should be given a chance to give or hear his point of view.

your right. we should not pay attention to what we hear about someone from people. the rumors should not motivate us to do anything. don't trust what you hear about someone till you see that with both your eye's.

The world is full of injustices if something bad happens then its only natural for humans to point the finger at the most likely, but in some cases the most likely is the one who who had little t nothing to do with the problem. people need someone to blame and if that means a innocent man has to go to jail then so be it.

Why do innocent people have to suffer? I remember seeing a book with the title "Why Do Good People Suffer?" if I got the title exactly correct, and that is what comes to my mind when people suffer of injustice. I think the tendency to blame others when something went wrong is not helpful and won't improve the situation. Maybe the better way to act when something went wrong is to find out the best way to fix the problem...although it's also important to know who was to blame so that he won't make the same mistakes again, and if he needed to suffer the consequences so be it...as long as it is in line with justice.
