As we all know, mylot lovers come from all over the world. Although we share some same interests and can be easy to join in discussions, sometimes we may inevitably encounter traditional culture differenciation. When this situation happens, there may be confusion and misunderstanding. What's your opinion about traditional culture differenciation and interaction?

I think that our different countries, cultures and backgrounds are a great thing. It makes the discussions more interesting and we can get a new perspective when other members say things that we wouldn't have thought about. I have learned a lot about other countries and other ways of thinking during the time that I have been here. I think it is really interesting to talk to people from other cultures.
I recently read a discussion about love marriages contra arranged marriages, and I think it is interesting to hear both sides of the story. If I only talked to people from my own country there would be nothing to discuss, because in our country every marriage is a love marriage, and we have no experience with other kinds of marriages.
Our differences make the discussions interesting, but sometimes we misunderstand eachother and hurt eachother unintentionally. I think it is important to keep our differences in mind. Everyone writes from their own point of view from their own culture, and I think that we have to remember that when we interact with the other members. Their truth might not be my truth, but it is still interesting to hear their about the way that they see things, and I think that the positive things about our different cultures outweigh the negative things

And, in case we come accross a someone who has a totally contrasting perception or idea, which is due to cultural orientation, we don't really need to argue or disagree. A mere acknowledgement should be fine. I haven't really seen strong arguments going on around here, which involves ones nationality and culture. That may mean that people here respect these differences.

Sorry for not be here about two days becuse of celebrating 1st May Labar Day. And didn't respond as early as I could. I agree with both of you. Cutural differences make the discussions and topics more interesting. When there are sometimes misunderstandings and feelings-hurted, all of us should be tolerant and generous. That is an important rule when making good friends with others, especialy from all over the world.

I think that is what make myLot even more interesting for me. I spend many hours here sometimes just reading topics after topics. While doing so, I'd add my own responses or comments as well. So I'll be learning and earning at the same time. Don't let the differences discourage you; in the contrary, they should motivate you to interact more with people from different part of the world by joining the discussions.
All the best.
